Will Smith Is Weak

Will Smith lost his temper, smacked Chris Rock, still got the Oscar, and gave a tearful speech about how he was doing God’s work at home, in Hollywood, and presumably by assaulting the emcee of that very show.  How do you not get thrown out and stripped of your win after that?  Shame on the Oscars morons, and shame on the weak and publicly cuckolded prostitute Will Smith.

His miserable, grasping no-talent shrewish wife has dragged his name and their family through mud and Hell, with the kids turning into circus freaks and her addiction to going on talk shows to run down her zillionaire husband while talking up her dead ex, Tupac.  And Will Smith participates — he allows this nonsense, and he encourages it with his weakness.  The whole family is now run through with infidelity, gender confusion, novel “orientations”, and the whole host of modern woke insanities.  Congratulations, Will.  This is your body of work.

Smith is a talented man and has tried to foist his non-acting family upon us time after time — fair enough.  His family is apparently having none of it, and the rot is on display in his wife, whom weak Will excuses and covers for.  Will has a problem, and it is internal — he’s no saint in that freak-show marriage, but at least he’s the breadwinner.  He has issues that he “deals with” in the Hollywood way — by not dealing with things except in some superficial pop-psychology fashion.  Of course, he got up and slapped Chris Rock on live TV for making an anodyne joke about her haircut.  “Take my wife’s name out yo G-D- mouf!”  Sorry Will, she’s a public figure thanks to your incessant efforts.  Fair game at the Oscars.

Smith’s anger is displaced.  He is actually angry at himself for his own failure as a father, as a husband, and soon as an actor.  He can no longer contain or compensate for his shame and emptiness.  All the progressive dogma in the world cannot carry a man through a crisis like the one that has been brewing for Will Smith.

I hope Chris Rock presses charges and sues the crap out of Will Smith.

I’m new to this.  What shame and emptiness is Will Smith subject to?

There was a smirk on Smiths face as he was walking away. I’m not convinced that this was not staged.

The rating’s are in the crapper. This kind of buzz is good publicity. Realness from the plastic crowd.

Will Smith was always a class act.  For about a decade now he has been tearing that down and doing it very publicly.  I suspect he is doing his best to hold his family together when he is the only one in the family that wants too.  You see this sort of BS in family of addiction

BDB: to run down her zillionaire husband while talking up her dead ex Tupac.

This is a subject I know very little about. That she was connected to Tupac is news to me.

BDB: and shame on the weak and publicly cuckolded prostitute Will Smith.

I heard a bit about this a year or two ago but didn’t care enough to look more into it. I was able to laugh at the guy on Twitter last night who said, Dude, she still isn’t going to sleep with you.

Smith was out of line, but it was an open handed slap. I would hope most men can handle that without police or lawyers.

Chris Rock was at work, doing his job in front of, uh dozens. He maintained his composure, continued doing his job and the show went on.  Smith may enjoy being made a weak fool in public, but I suspect he is rare in that.

Do you think Rock should turn the other cheek?  Make public threats?  Beat him up after school?

Yes these are grown men, and one of them went haywire, malfunctioning in public.  When internal controls fail, external controls matter.

It could be that the whole thing is fake, but I don’t think so.  From the Smith angle, if he wanted to engineer the rescuing of his gentle bride, he would have to be stupid enough to think it would work.  Perhaps, but all it’s going to do is push his ridiculous situation to a wider audience, and she’ll continue to run him down.  Lose-lose.

Harder to see Rock agreeing to it.

The actual strike seemed a bit odd, but then real fights between amateurs look strange.  I’m no expert.  I don’t think that either of these men needed a bum fight to rejuvenate their careers — one just won an Oscar and the other is hosting.

I didn’t see the “offense” in Rock’s remarks.

After ‘Jussie’, this seems like a hamhanded manufactured event to Jumpstart a couple flagging careers.

Seems to me the only planning session that this could have emerged from with a green light would be about two minutes long, right before the show.  Anything better would see likely damage to two of the properties outweighing any benefit to the third.

I’m not hell-bent on the gospel truth of the thing, but I also find it hard to understand a rational basis for it being fraudulent.  The benefit just doesn’t seem to be there, and I think it’s obvious.

Still, it could all be a fake.  I’m treating it as real for now.

By all means, I don’t want to make anybody care who truly doesn’t.  Your response could well have been mine had I been in a slightly different mood.  No argument.

I guess my sudden (and self-surprising) level of interest can be uh justified by observing that we may have no interest in Hollywood, but Hollywood is interested in our culture, our youth, and our politics.

But I heartily respect a firm IDGAF.

Next time,   Chris should congratulate Jada on being a really sweet piece of ass.   Really enjoyable.   And with an Open Relationship,  what exactly is Will supposed to do about it?

Honestly,   Will should divorce his wife and find a woman to have an actual marriage with.

It is most likely real but nowadays I tend to be suspicious of things until they shake out for a day or two.  Especially when star power liberals are involved.

Big fking deal.  It was a joke.  A fairly light one.  If she could not handle it then she needs to get a thicker skin.  We all got our stuff, just deal with it or laugh along or in my case ridicule the hell out of them.   Ms Smith is a rich, privileged, powerful, accomplished woman in her own right married to a more powerful Hollywood icon.  If she is that fragile she needs to be locked up until she figures it out.  She is just looking for pity points.  There are people more deserving of that then her.

Seriously?  He is a powerful man whose is very publicly cuckolded.  It is obvious that any traditional man would have kicked her to the curb but she has his heart, his balls, his family in her purse and most likely he hates himself for it.  His reaction was him trying to show what little ownership he can over her and prove to her he is worth.  Also I would not be surprised if there are sort of addiction issue running around.

Which could be exactly why Smith did what he did.  I don’t remember exactly where on the timeline it fell relative to “Ebonics” for example, which has also disappeared from the lexicon although it still exists (black people not using standard English) but there was a think back then called “signifying” which could be what is involved here.

Although I would point out that if Jada is Will Smith’s “beard” then he’s not actually a cuckold.

Technically maybe but the ownership aspect would still be in play especially in a powerful male personality,  Maybe more so in a strong male tying to be a straight male.

Personality I sort of doubt the beard thing.  Basically every open relationship I have ran across has a lot of drama in it.  Too much jealousy.  They tend not to be stable.  Mostly they are abusive.

Anyway, the point is that the “wife” is all et up with abusive new-age nonsense that doesn’t work, and Will Smith is coming to a crisis.  All this horsepoop about new family styles and gender-bending stuff doesn’t work, and it shows.  The kids are messed up and Smith thinks he’s doing the right thing be being “supportive” while he gets pooped on in public by this triumphant womanist.  She might not hate all men, but she has no love for Smith.

Sure, he’s mad at Chris Rock.  But his bizarrely inappropriate behavior is displaced from his wife and from himself.  I have long thought that when people get most angry, they are actually angry at themselves.  The proximal cause may be external, but bad situations have long chains of events that led to them, in which the unhappy and angry person is usually complicit.

Smith is now in a position where normal things seem abnormal, because he is badly “out of position”.

I’d actually have been perfectly OK to read,  hear, or learn–on the following morning, because Lord knows, I wasn’t following the exciting Oscar broadcast as it happened, and (point of honor) I haven’t seen a single one of the nominated movies, heard any of the nominated songs, and did not–as was my custom for many decades–even review the red carpeteers to see who’d made the most fools of zirselves on the runway this time around–that Jada Pinkett Smith had strode up onto the stage and socked Chris Rock in the gob all by herself.

But I gather the lady is a master of the passive-aggressive, and that she usually leaves the really dirty work to others.  It seems she demonstrated it this time around with a stink-eye cast in her husband’s direction when he had the temerity to laugh at Chris Rock’s taste-free and unfunny joke (most of which millions of people, and perhaps many at the event, wouldn’t have “got” the point of anyway).

Poor, daft Will. He’s got the wife, and the family, he deserves.
