Memes can certainly be used to amuse or to try and shape a narrative. Shaping a narrative with a Meme is like trying to find the truth on Twitter. Twitter, Blogs, and even mainstream media organizations can be a desert. The narratives they promote can be as empty as the desert they came from.

The Meme on the right was created by someone who could not bring themselves to even do the most basic research on the symbols in the image.

The crosses in the image are a; Cross Pattée. The cross pattée has been used for centuries, long before the Nazi Party adopted them.

A cross pattée (or cross patty, also known as a cross formée/formy, croix pattée or Tatzenkreuz) is a type of Christian cross with arms that are narrow at the centre, and often flared in a curve or straight-line shape, to be broader at the perimeter. The form appears very early in medieval art; for example in a metalwork treasure binding given to Monza Cathedral by Queen Theodelinda (d. 628), and the 8th-century lower cover of the Lindau Gospels in the Morgan Library. An early English example from the start of the age of heraldry proper (i.e. about 1200) is found in the arms of Baron Berkeley.

The Nazis didn’t really adopt this design.  It was used by Prussia and Imperial Germany for over 100 years before the Nazis came to power.  It was a traditional German symbol having nothing to do with the Nazis.

You are correct, Doug, that this design is used by many other countries and groups, back to the Crusades.  So even the Prussians weren’t the first to use it.  It is an attractive

If your point is that Zelensky’s shirt with this design does not indicate any Nazi intent, I concur as to the shape of the cross design.

There does appear to be something in the middle of the cross on Zelensky’s shirt, maybe a trident design.  I don’t recognize that particular variant.  It would be weird for Zelensky to be so careless as to wear a neo-Nazi symbol, so I doubt that the trident has such a connotation.

Looks like it’s the emblem of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

It’s the symbol of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The same one theses Ukrainian units probably wear when their not displaying their unit flags and symbols:

No idea what the center emblem represents. Some Soviet symbols look similar.

Not saying Zelensky is a Nazi, or wearing a Christain symbol either, but he does have Nazis in his army, even in his Defense Ministry.

As do the Russian mercenaries, the most famous of them is the Wagner Group. Their leader:

There are a lot of crosses in heraldry.

They show up a lot.  The cross pattée denoted bravery. The Teutonic Knights were founded in 1190 and adopted it in their heraldic lexicon. It became associated with Prussia, and from Prussia to Germany. It is also in the family blazons of the Gilchrist family, Clan Barclay, and many others.

But apparently some mouth-breathing milennial meme-maker knows differently.

    Reminds me of this story:
Image of Justin Gaertner that New Yorker fact-checker Talia Lavin posted about on Twitter, mistakenly implying that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent had a Nazi tattoo.

Do any allied medals since WWII have a bird of prey in the center?  I don’t know.  But this one does.  And it’s not a medal, it’s an insignia, stamped on his T-shirt.  What does it mean?

Added: I take this back.  I thought it was a bird of prey, but apparently it isn’t.

Prior to WWII, the US 45th Infantry Division had a *swastika* as its unit symbol, albeit a with the hooks reversed from the better-known version.  Why?  It was in honor of the Southwest American Indians who made up a significant part of the division; some of the tribes had used that symbol.

The symbol was changed to the Thunderbird.

Someone who hadn’t done any research might have drawn incorrect conclusions…

My brother fought in Vietnam whereupon he stumbled across a temple figure adorned with a Swatika. He though he had found some renegade refugee 3rd Riech members hiding in Vietnam only to be told that the symbol had religious significance for centuries before Third Riech.

They’re used to indicate Buddhist centers in Korea as well.

Given how often the Left uses that line against us, I figure you would be more reasonable.

Except the Azov units have released videos of them executing Russian POWs and a Ukrainian doctor bragging about castrating wounded Russian POWs.
