Biden Promotes Transgenderism in SOTU Speech

You didn’t miss it buried in the lies and misinformation about the state of the country, did you? Or maybe you heard his support and promotion of transgenderism and figured it’s too late to do anything about it. Or maybe, like me, your outrage was lit up again, as the President continues to work to destroy the fiber of our country.

Regardless of your reaction to Biden’s speech, his active promotion of transgenderism and everything it entails is a disgrace:

‘The onslaught of state laws targeting transgender Americans and their families is wrong,’ he insisted.

He continued by promising to support the medical conversion of children into ‘transgender’ people: ‘As I said last year, especially to our younger transgender Americans, I will always have your back as your president, so you can be yourself and reach your God-given potential.

That’s right. The President of the United States is promoting the disfiguring of children, drug abuse (puberty blockers), and the pressuring our children into becoming transgendered. The effects of many of these treatments are irreversible. Biden’s mentioning G-d’s name in this context is an abomination.

Even Sweden has begun to realize the errors of its ways:

… Sweden is ending its long-standing policy of allowing children and teenagers to undergo sex-related treatment:

The new guidelines are set to replace a prior 2015 guideline that recommended the use of puberty blockers for children as being ‘safe and secure,’ broadcaster SVT reports.

According to the health board, the risks of hormone treatments outweigh the benefits stating, ‘Pending… a research study, our assessment is that the treatments can be given in exceptional cases.’

We shouldn’t be surprised that people on both sides of the aisle are finally rejecting the transgender agenda:

By more than a 3-to-1 margin, Americans oppose a key educational policy of the transgender movement. Sixty-eight percent (68%) believe schools and teachers should not be allowed to counsel students on their sexual and gender identities without parental knowledge or consent. Only 19% believe schools should be allowed to engage in such counseling without parental consent.

Ben Shapiro spoke out against Biden’s positions and comments in a way that should speak to many of us:

‘America deserves a president who sides with parents rather than corrupt teachers’ unions that shut down schools and mask toddlers and indoctrinate kids into the perverse lies of gender theory and the overt bigotry of critical race theory,’ said Shapiro.

‘At least Joe Biden has brought transgenderism and diversity, equity and inclusion to the Defense Department,’ he added. ‘Don’t you feel safer already?’

How will we explain the degeneration of our country and the destruction of their lives to our children?

Sadly I do not see a way to stop the transgender wave going through the world.  The various governments are big into it and I expect we will just see more of it as it becomes more trendy and as people embrace the life style for the perks and privileges

I think that there is a segment of our population who never dreamed they would hold the keys of power and based their identity and sense of purpose in pushing the boundaries of normality as far as they could. When, surprisingly to them, they obtained the power they have never developed the virtue of self-restraint. They will continue to push…

Indeed they will, Jake. But I wonder if Biden or most of the people who follow this ideology (because that’s what it is) have any idea of how they are destroying the lives of children? Do they know there are many kids who regret what they’ve done and can’t undo this desecration?

There are signs that it’s losing a bit of its trendiness, John. The damage will continue, but it may be slowing down. I just want Biden to stop its promotion.

Power means more to them; I see it in their affects when they are pushing. They have had a lot of practice with destroying lives (think cancel culture); we are reaping the whirlwind of the tolerant indulgence we have conferred on them while waiting for them to grow up.

Whereas I see the so-called “trans” movement as the earliest significant overreach of the left, and one that they will have to walk back — and fairly soon. Because it’s profoundly stupid, profoundly harmful, and profoundly obviously so.

I wonder, Hank, if I have a more visceral reaction due to my religion. When a baby is born, becomes a child, he or she is created in the image of G-d. For humans to even begin to think that they can act like gods is repulsive to me–whether or not they turn it around. And I’m not so sure that will happen soon. It wouldn’t be the only time we’ve seen them embrace profoundly stupid and harmful strategies. A myriad of examples are available to see!

The only walk back I see is with the convert school children part without parent input.

It is causing parents to organize and push back.  On the other hand parents are typically young and have been taught perversion is a right to be pushed at all cost and anybody that restricts must be destroyed.  The “if it feels good do it” and “it is all good” mentalities are taking over.

Biden supporting it is one thing.  But I keep hearing of it being supported by the government.  I have a few friends with foster kids.  The foster system is giddy about this.  Spending lots of money and training before the first trans kid showed up in the state system.  They have even told stories how their older case workers have been replaced with newer younger trans case workers that have trans conversations with their children regularly.  Strange stuff.

Maybe. But people are marrying later and having kids later, too, and I don’t think all of them, especially those with conservative values, will be so easy to indoctrinate. At least I hope they aren’t!

There are children who seem to be born with gender dysphoria and they’re usually boys; most of them outgrow this phase. The perversion is especially obvious when the proponents try to convince teens that they’re trans. This is beyond the pale.

More visceral? Probably not: the trans movement is a pet peeve of mine, and one I harp on quite a lot. I’ve given away several copies of Abigail Shrier’s excellent book on the topic, and consider it a big deal.

But the movement is a lot like CRT, in that it thrives in our schools only because it is secretive and most parents aren’t aware of it. I think awareness of each is growing, and we’re going to discover that it’s one of those broad but shallow social phenomena that don’t stand up to scrutiny and challenge.

Of course, per our earlier discussion, I’m an optimist. ;)

PS And no, I don’t think it’s (generally) a kind of grooming. I think it’s a social contagion on a par with cutting and anorexia, something that particularly afflicts young girls because of their desire to seek safe identities and conform to peer group expectations. It’s very bad, but I think its an emergent expression of something to which teenage girls (in particular) are always vulnerable.

I did not watch pResident Biden. I awaited reports. This is the first I have seen of this segment of the speech. This man is a cypher. Someone put the words in his mouth. We need to know who. So far as I can tell Biden has never had any genuine feeling for anyone who was not doing something for him in some way. What transgender has ever do anything for Biden?

Say a 14-year old girl comes out to a teacher as anorexic, that she is trapped in a fat body. And that she is ugly, and needs to look like Barbie to be truly “who she is”.

Will the teacher encourage her, give her a safe space to vomit? Book an appointment with a plastic surgeon?

    Why not?

Not sure about your thinking here. The reason the girls pursue it could be very different from the reasons the purveyors push it, dontcha think?

No kidding! I’m sure he was just reading from the script. But he is POTUS, after all, and his words have an impact (at least on some ignorant or disturbed people). It’s funny that I only tuned in a couple of times but I saw him say it. I suspect it hasn’t gotten more play in the MSM is because so many other topics were up for discussion.

Fascinating analogy, Scarecrow. Any answer a person would give would likely also apply to trans. It’s a mental illness, girls (mainly) do it to improve their image, they want to fit in. The list goes on. So sad.

Joe Biden is a disgrace. Not only does he support and want to fund the mutilation of children, he fully supports abortion: not one of those children will ever reach his God-given potential. It is also a disgrace that his Catholic bishop does nothing to change this man’s mind. What a fraud.

Yes, I’m sure there are some in the movement who are in some sense “grooming” people. But I think that pales in significance compared to the social phenomenon itself. I think this is emergent behavior, a product of adolescent psychology and social media culture.

But I’m distinguishing between what I see as the great trans problem — its seduction of young people into a fundamentally unhealthy and dishonest, and often self-destructive fad — on the one hand, and the adult trans movement on the other. The movement among young people is a legitimate crisis. The adult thing is, like the modern gay and modern radical feminism movements, mostly a tiresome bit of identity politics by shallow and nihilistic radicals.

Maybe Adam Corolla is right – we will eventually all be chicks. The stuff they teach – the values they stress: fairness, inclusion, peacefulness, equity, talking talking talking instead of action, etc., are all fine to include I suppose.

But what about the values of courage, leadership, patience, responsibility, toughness, skepticism, honor?

I wonder what the coming-out-as-trans rate is at your average military academy?
