Expiration Date Check: ‘I Think Joe Biden Is Going to Be an Important President and a Very Good One’

What a difference a year makes. But, then again, the truth really was crystal clear at the time the quote was issued. (H/T to OffThePress.com):

Joe Biden’s disastrous 48 hours

It’s hard to imagine a worse 48-hour stretch for any first-year president than the one Joe Biden endured over the past two days. …

Add it all up: The economy is crippled by high prices and not-so-transitory inflation. The president is rebuffed (again) by a member of his own party on a major initiative. And then his vaccine mandate is struck down by a 6-3 decision in the Supreme Court. …

It is stunning to see this president drop this far, particularly when considering that this administration had a gale force breeze at its back with the House and Senate in Democratic control. It’s the straight flush of power in Washington. …

The hill that Biden decided to die on was voting rights, with the president’s speechwriters going full hyperbole in portraying anyone who is for voter identification as Bull Connor and Jefferson Davis. …

It’s hard to see how Biden turns these numbers around. He’s fighting inflation, which isn’t transitory. Crime, particularly in major cities, continues to get worse…

But actually, these recent admissions of realized doom and gloom aside, the real amazing thing is that things aren’t even worse at this point. Given the die that was cast in the first twelve hours, and reinforced over the first 36 hours, and then further solidified over the first week, there was only one direction for this ship of state to go…and circling the drain was the charted path.

And the ignoble pest of a demagogue turned hollow carcass being used as a puppet by anti-republican, anti-liberty, anti-American forces proved to be the most valuable…and “important“…tool for their job. But, as far as presidents go, this one is certainly not, and was never going to be, “a very good one.” Only fools thought otherwise.

Good day.

Heh. What kind of sick broken mind could ever associate Joe Biden with anything positive?

Is there supposed to be an active link to “a very good one” or are we supposed to guess who said this?

    Oh, I suspect a more proximate source. . .

I agree completely. Brandon is an “important” president in the sense of advancing the Left’s front of destruction against the country that purportedly elected him. He’s even more effective than Obama was, although maybe the Obama cabal is really pulling his strings. And I also agree it was entirely foreseeable to any with eyes to see. An utter disaster.

Of course, the retort will be that it’s Trump’s fault for being so divisive and forcing people to vote against him. It’s amazing that otherwise intelligent (different from wise) people can be so shallow in their thinking. Sun Tzu recommends knowing one’s enemies, and if it wasn’t clear before (although it was to many of us), it should be now that the Left is the enemy of America — not to mention all that is good and holy — and that Brandon is their tool.

philo: But, as far as presidents go, this one is certainly not, and was never going to be, “a very good one.”

Additionally, as I have said before, I do so hope that he “is lodged firmly in the Oval Office for four full years…no matter how bad the spectacle becomes. If this is the “talk” in (more or less) polite, sophisticated society less than a year in, how bad will it be in year four? The anchor around the neck of his party will be well deserved…and the larger lessons, while painful well beyond the party and its elitist, authoritarian, and/or just plain braindead enablers that made this ill-gotten rise to ultimate power possible, are (unfortunately) necessary if there is a future for American-style liberty on these shores.”

If he actually said that, that is further proof that those guys don’t think about policy and he has fully admitted it as well.

Does anyone take our political situation, the superficial consensus, to be real or even plausible? That this worn out husk of a thug is our legitimate President? That we do not, is Joe Biden’s significance.

Would the author of that quote above vote for Obama directly instead of just by proxy, if he could?

My brother-in-law is a liberal. He gets very animated about politics. But now he’s made it clear he doesn’t want to talk about policy anymore. So he’s going to vote for the party of central planning and he’s not informed about public policy. Never Trump mostly has a very shallow understanding of civics and public policy if you ask me. Especially the ones that associate with organized media or groups. I can’t think of an independent one that gets me worked up, actually. So it’s all about group identity and analyzing the electorate so you win. Part of it is their a definition of what is moral or what is important in the moral arena. It’s not about good policy. The person in question is going to go to the principals first convention. Every year 75% of the people on stage get their money from either Google or Omidyar.

There is this interview of a guy named Mike Green at a place called Gestalt University. It’s a real bitch to listen to, but they lay out all of societies problems perfectly. And he’s got mostly Democrats solutions but he admits that nobody is smart enough or non-corrupt enough to do it. I told my brother-in-law to listen to this or read the transcript. Absolutely nothing. He didn’t do anything.

This is my view. We did everything wrong in the face of wage deflation and job destruction from automation and globalized labor. All of our institutions are corrupted and failing. The Democrat party needs social strife. You have to deal with all of that if you are going to stop populism or keep it constructive.

It is not the “who” that is important but the fact that such things were said with a straight face by those who should know better. And way too many just nodded along with the silliness.  But, if you insist:

CTH has an interesting story today.  The FBI changed its assessment of the Colleyville shooting to an anti-Semitic terrorist attack shortly after Biden relates substance of DOJ briefing in an impromptu Q&A with reporters.  He tells the truth again to the consternation of his handlers.

Wow, that whole thing was a mess from multiple perspectives (I can see why the Left is upset with “rising anti-Semitism” Joe), but I’ll focus on the “reporter” fixating on the guns. It was the guns, the guns, the guns!!! Just like the Waukesha massacre was the van! And about those background checks, how about we do background checks on Islamists with criminal records before we let them into the country??? How about that background check??!

MI5 had him on a watch list. It ought to be hard as hell to get a visa in that situation.\\
