Tell Me the FBI Was Involved in the Events of January 6…

… without telling me the FBI Was Involved in the Events of January 6. From Tuesday’s hearing in the U.S. Senate:

  • Senator Ted Cruz: “Did any FBI agents or confidential informants actively participate in the events of January 6th? Yes or no?”
  • FBI’s Jill Sanborn: “I can’t answer that.”

Later

Senator Cruz: (Going Over The Footage Of Ray Epps On January 5th and 6th): “Ms. Sanborn, was Ray Epps a Fed?”

Jill Sanborn: “Sir, I cannot answer that question.”

Maybe.   He asked obvious questions to somebody who didn’t answer them.  What was gained?  The FBI in DC is totally corrupt and needs a purging.

The FBI is a fundamentally deceptive and worthless organization. It is not worthy of trust or respect. The GOP message should be a full restructuring and cleaning out of the entire organization.

I wonder if the real plan was to stir up a few “extremists” to create an incident, embarrass Trump, and establish a pretext for considering all Maga hat folks as militia-adjacent.

BUT… nobody figured that the Capitol cops could screw the pooch so completely and fail to secure the rather limited number of access points against the kinds of people who stay within the velvet ropes once inside–not exactly an ANTIFA caliber attack.

The Dems got a brief scare but more than they might have hoped for imagewise.

But instead of taking credit for being undercover to seize extremists, the Sons of J. Edgar have to lie and deny authoring a complete fiasco.  Somewhere, Russian and Chinese intel guys have finished facial recognition of the riot and can name the feds involved and are laughing at us.

Do we know why the FBI person “could not answer the question”? Did the FBI send someone who had no information about anything?

I wouldn’t rule out that possibility given the public behavior of the FBI.

I saw a video of his questioning. He asked several similar questions but no follow up so maybe he knows why that answer. He got that “I cannot answer that question” until his last question she answered “not to my knowledge”. The pattern of his questions with no follow up makes me think he knows why there were no answers but the witness did not say why.

Putting them on the record as being non-responsive. A good first step. Let’s see if there are any others.

‘I don’t know’ is a damning answer.  If there were no infiltrators or plants, then the answer is easy: “no”.  For example:

Q: Do we have any FBI agents or informants on Mars?
    A: No.

Also tough to argue that if FBI were there, it was to do crowd control because how many arrests were made by undercover or other FBI agents on the scene? Any?

I had an old drinking buddy who had been an FBI plant in several KKK cells among other rather colorful undertakings.  He said that it became a joke–the undercover agents, plants and turned informants outnumbered the remaining actual Klan guys by the end each time.  I was reminded of him when I read about the Whitmer kidnapping plot.  Epps and that the pseudo-Antifa guy with Epps on Jan 5 reek of federal management.

We all know that the Jan 6 Commission will be the main campaign weapon of Democrat-Socialists against Republicans until this coming November election. HR1, Pelosi’s so-called voting rights bill is the other hammer they were counting on but that is not looking good right now with significant Democrat opposition to by-passing the filibuster to pass it. That Georgia Democrats who are contesting for election in 2022 are skipping out on the President and VP coming to Georgia to campaign for voting rights is telling.

Your comment properly reflects the pattern we have seen from the Republican establishment. President Trump was betrayed heavily in the first two years of his term when he needed Republican Party support. That must change if we are to live by the principles embodied in the Constitution. The next ten months are crucial.

What was gained? CYA and some damage control from his recent “violent terrorist act” gaffe.

Maybe Durham will uncover all of this too. Any time now. 2042 is right around the corner.

I’m still po’d that none of the major, unprecedented, foundation busting scandals of the last six years have been resolved. None. Turn on a camera and guys like Cruz will get rhetorically tough with some nobody for a couple minutes so he can fundraise as a warrior. Then he’ll get back to joining the dem-chorus about those terrorists with buffalo horns and flag poles.

I get that Cruz has just a few minutes, but smart inquisitor, when faced with a string of “I don’t know”, reverses the logic.  The question should be, “There are reports that Ray Epps, who instigated the breach, is an FBI asset, can you disprove that?”   With a question like that, “I don’t know” is more damning.   When you are opposing council, you make an assertion and let the witness agree or disprove.

Of course, Ted should have started asking questions on Jan 6, 2020, when it was smelling like a DNC/FBI psy-op was in play.  Or, every day since.  He held up ambassadors for year to get a vote on Nordstream2 to help Big Oil, so he does have power.  Power, which he has chosen not to use to get to the truth.  Same for the other 50 Senators.

Bottom line.  Don’t be fooled by the meaningless soundbites.  Remember that Cruz is the guy that parroted Pelosi’s line that Trump supporters are terrorists and he is also the guy that *refused* during the 2016 convention speech to tell people to vote Republican.   He is pettiness is grotesque.

Got this today in an article in The Epoch Times by Ken Silva:

“The Jan. 6 Committee reportedly issued the following statement shortly after the hearing: “Committee is aware of unsupported claims that Ray Epps was an FBI informant based on the fact that he was on the FBI Wanted list and then was removed from that list without being charged.

“The Select Committee has interviewed Mr. Epps. Mr. Epps informed us that he was not employed by, working with, or acting at the direction of any law enforcement agency”

So maybe he is a Marine Trump Supporter gone coward. Other possibilities? Of course, no one is ever held accountable for lying to Congress.

A follow up statement would be, “Then I don’t see why Congress should approve your budget request.”  Of course, that statement would have no teeth in it, because the Watergate Reforms turned the budget process into government vs people, where Congress can no longer exercise the power of the purse on a single agency, at least not very easily.

If the Republicans retake either the House or the Senate next year, they should cut the FBI’s budget by 50% until they get answers to these questions. I wouldn’t count on it. More likely, they’ll be like Speaker of the House Boehner who funded ObamaCare without even getting concessions for doing it.

I hate all unconstitutional agencies, but what does the FBI do that another agency doesn’t? It was created to go after gangsters during prohibition. Who also does that? The ATF.

    Terrorism? Homeland Security

    Drug busts? ATF again

    Gangs? ATF again some more.

Information database? CIA. The FBI was designed to do this for police, but anyone here involved in local law enforcement will tell you the last thing they want is “help” from the feds.

    Human trafficking? ICE

Cyber-security? The FBI is great at this. And by great, I mean not giving a damn about your cyber-security but using anything and everything against you.

    Abolish the entire redundant mess.
