WA State ‘Health Leaders’ Propose a Police State

We have all been appalled to see what is happening to the people of Australia, Canada, and Austria, where their governments are opening internment camps (called “quarantine camps”) for unvaccinated citizens who refuse vaccination for Covid.

Our state of Washington is now proposing similar rules for unvaccinated citizens.  They are also proposing to add the (unapproved) Covid vaccines to the mandatory school vaccination regimen for all school children in the state.  A coworker sent me an email this afternoon, containing the following.

• Allowing local health officers to use law enforcement (WAC 246-100-070) to force an emergency order to involuntarily detain a person or group of persons (families) to be isolated in a quarantine facility (WAC 246-100-045) following refusal to voluntary comply with requests for medical examination, testing, treatment, counseling, vaccination (WAC 246-100-040). These specifics come from WAC 246-100.

• Including the Covid-19 injections as part of school immunization requirements using WAC 246-105.

I find this alarming, to say the least. Our Health Nazis now propose to act like real Nazis, forcing citizens to submit to an invasive medical procedure with an unapproved agent, experimenting on the formerly free citizens of the state.

Seattle and King County have vaccine mandates for all restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues, and gyms. The State has had a full statewide mask mandate in force since last July, supposedly to “slow the spread” of the Covid virus; and vaccine mandates for all government workers, including first responders and all healthcare personnel. However:

Washington State reaches 10,000 Covid-19 deaths, sets another record in cases.

Washington state hospitals near “crisis” as Covid cases surge.

Kittitas County reports record number of Covid cases in half-day.

Washington to expand access to coronavirus tests to help contain spread of Covid-19.

Mass Seattle Schools Covid tests show 4% positivity rate.

It looks to me like none of their measures are working at all to slow the spread of Covid.  So now, they wish to double-down on the measures that are not working and open internment camps for those who resist forcible vaccination. They wish to use the remaining law-enforcement personnel (many have resigned rather than be vaccinated) to detain those unruly citizens.

Personally, I am not interested in living in a police state. I wonder how many of the other residents of Western Washington do want to live in a police state. My guess is, quite a few.

Yeah, scratch a progressive and you’ll find a totalitarian every time. The thing that gets me the most about this is that the pandemic is over. Omicron is basically the common cold for severity and children have always been at close to zero risk for COVID since the beginning. I guess that they are doing this now because, ala Rahm Emmanuel, they just can’t let a crisis go to waste.

And Inslee wants to make it a crime for elected officials and candidates to lie about election results.

Can we make that retroactive to the 2000s?

The only upside I can see to this flu madness is that a very powerful lesson is being taught to parents about the wisdom of sending their children to public schools.

Whatever other trials a family may be facing I am not certain if anything can be more important than getting your children away from this right now.

They don’t want to slow the spread.  In fact, this variant is a blessing to them, for it gives them extra incentive to take extreme measures.  What’s next?  Forcing unvaccinated people to wear some kind of symbol on their clothing?

Sounds like an “insurrection” to me. Didn’t these guys swear an oath of fidelity to the Constitution?

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?… The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If…if…We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation…. We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”
    ― Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn , The Gulag Archipelago 1918–1956

More violent people than I have suggested that these “operatives” should learn to fear, not for themselves, but for their homes and families when they return to them.

Interesting.  For once Oregon appears to be be taking a more sane approach than either WA or CA.  I don’t trust Kate & her stormtroopers, but it sounds like maybe there is a faint thought growing in her tiny little brain that perhaps (note the multiple qualifiers – “maybe”, “perhaps”) the people have had enough and any more shenanigans would be met with outright hostility.  I’m deeply suspicious, however, that there are ulterior motives going on.

And it gets worse.  From an article this morning on KOMO today.

As COVID-19 cases soar, King County’s top health official on Friday issued a warning to business owners that their operations could be impacted if they have not made plans to manage high worker absenteeism for employees who need to quarantine after contracting COVID or being exposed to it.

The blunt assessment is likely not what many businesses want to hear as they are looking to rebound from the pandemic and subsequent shutdowns.

Bob Donegan of Ivar’s Restaurants says over the first 20 months since the pandemic began he has had eight employees get sick. And he has had that many in just the last week.

Although his company employees between 600 and 800 workers, he said he is ready to take action.

“We may have to close earlier or open later,” he said. “We’ll share managers between stores. Managers who have three, four (or) five stores will work in the stores. We’ll ask the people who are healthy to work more hours. But so far we have not had to face the issue of having to close yet.”

However, Dr. Jeff Duchin, Health Officer, Public Health — Seattle & King County, said workers who test positive and those who are unvaccinated and are exposed to COVID need to quarantine for five days.

That metric will impact anywhere from 10-20 percent of a business’s workforce.

“So, I think everyone needs to plan for high levels of absenteeism and what that means for their operations and do whatever they can do to either prioritize the limited resources, human resources that they have for their most essential operations,” he said. “Or plan to manage the best they can.”

Dr. Anthony Chen, director of the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department said, “Certainly for small businesses when you’ve got a workforce of maybe 20 and a few of them call in sick and they were in contact with some other people who have to go home for quarantine. That could mean you have to shut down.”

These “officials” have essentially been ruling King and Pierce counties for two years.  They have no hesitation in  requiring businesses to shut down, and citizens to lose their livelihoods.  We have discovered that a plurality, maybe even a majority of the people who live in Western Washington welcome tyranny.

There is an ad I have heard a number of times on podcasts in which a young girl talks about how much she likes her mask because it looks so good with her outfit, and then says she wants to get her vaccine so she can play with her friends. I would guess that the young girl is supposed to be a young, perhaps 13 year old, adolescent. The ad is worthy of Heinrich Himmler. It is appalling, but it demonstrates the way our Washington State government thinks about us voters. I don’t know what it is going to take to unseat the current administration. A friend of mine who lives in Oregon has essentially given up on unseating their governor and is moving elsewhere. I am not willing to do that. I will continue to vote against candidates who support what is essentially totalitarian policies. That seems to be the only option at this time. I hope those who mistakenly returned Inslee to office will begin to realize the error of their choice.

That’s pretty harsh.  “Stay home for four days” = “Internment Camps”?

No, just a stepping stone among the path of many previous stepping stones.

Here are the proposed policies, from the email I received from my coworker.

PROPOSED POLICIES:• Allowing local health officers to use law enforcement (WAC 246-100-070) to force an emergency order to involuntarily detain a person or group of persons (families) to be isolated in a quarantine facility (WAC 246-100-045) following refusal to voluntary comply with requests for medical examination, testing, treatment, counseling, vaccination (WAC 246-100-040). These specifics come from WAC 246-100.• Including the Covid-19 injections as part of school immunization requirements using WAC 246-105.
