More Dangerous Americans

Four people were arrested in NYC for burning and looting an Applebee’s restaurant.

Just kidding. We know that sort of thing is tolerated under the New Justice System. Heck, the Vice President of the United States contributed to a bail fund for violent rioters and that wasn’t a deal-breaker, even for people who work within the Justice System. No, the actual crime they were arrested for was protesting the city’s Vaccine Passport requirement.

The article doesn’t state what charges they will be facing, but six earlier protesters were charged with “criminal trespass,” which as we know from the treatment of protesters who “trespassed” at the Capitol is a far more serious crime under the New Justice System than burning down police stations or looting businesses.

Speaking of Vaccine Mandates, the left is now unironically declaring that “Hitler opposed vaccine mandates.” Mainly because they are ridiculous people.

So the right to assemble is a bit under attack these days. The right to protest…

But I’m sure D.A. Will be along shortly to tell you how the details are correct while the actual spirit of the constitution continues to be gutted.

it will not end, until the overwhelming majority of Americans decide they must also join the “Do Not Comply” faction.

Tyrannies are sustained by those who don’t mind injustice so long as the forms are filled in properly.

I maintain that many people who are conservatives today would have happily been Tories in 1775. They would have had the back of the Redcoats in Concord, and been demanding the heads of the Patriots and the insurrection against the Crown.

I know I did an essay on it before, I might do another.

Patrick Henry would be decried by our Never Trumpers for his day’s version of “mean tweets”.

Maybe write it from the Tory perspective, obscuring the detailed events until the end…

    Interesting idea.

I have to think on it, What is important is to mock the modern day Royalists.

“The Declaration of Independence is a violation of all political norms.”

“The Redcoat that shot the Insurrectionist Crispus Attucks is a national hero.”

“I don’t disagree with Thomas Jefferson’s policies, but his refusal to accept that George III is his rightful sovereign  is an act of treason and a threat to the monarchy that makes him politically unacceptable.”

“Benedict Arnold is a loyal patriot standing up against George Washington’s Cult of Personality and doing his best to save our Monarchy; I would follow him into hell.”

I was going for more of a Bill Kristol/David French/Jonah Goldberg vibe, but if the Redcoat fits…

I think the most likely positive end is when restaurants (and theaters and other businesses follow the lead of the In-N-Out Burger places in California and refuse to put their lowest wage, youngest, and least experienced employees in a position to be subjected to the abuse they will get as de facto police officers. Even though city police departments are not enforcing real laws, they will be enforcing even fewer, and run out of resources even more quickly if they are called upon to run all over town to settle fights between minimum wage restaurant greeters and uncooperative customers, or to cite multiple restaurant owners who decline to become mask and vaccine police.

Businesses have far more practical leverage with politicians than do individual voters or consumers.

Safer than arresting actual criminals in NYC I imagine.

Remember, these “laws” don’t exist unless cops enforce them. The same cops that did nothing while cities burned. Just so you know who your friends are.

Oh that’s how it works. Harrase non violent citizens. Pull people over on pretext to meet quotas while complaining about how dangerous traffic stops are. Bully your way into homes when you can’t get a warrant. Don’t actually know the law. Use civil asset forfeiture to steal from citizens and force them to prove their money is not guilty. Dont even investigate cars being broken into. And if people riot, let them, but do arrest anyone defending themselves from the rioters. Unless, they are conservatives. Then lock them up without bail or trial.

And when you violate someone’s rights, hide behind qualified immunity.

The police have abandoned us to the mob. They exist only as guardians of the power of the State. We are not to even defend ourselves in their absence.

This is Rome when the political mobs ruled the streets.

Do not let yourself be inured to what has being occurring the past few years. Across the nation local law enforcement has been relentlessly and viciously attacked. With deliberate and ill intent.

How would you take such abuse?

NYPD experiences mass exodus of police officers, with 75% spike in departures and retirements

Who do you think remains in the force after such? Certainly not the best or most moral.

It is vital that from now on we catch COVID only from infected vaccinated people.

Yes, and we will be left with nothing but thugs serving the will of their political master.

Just like the military is going through now.
