Fear of Things No One Is Afraid Of

Ok.  So President Biden, the Democrat Party, and major media outlets all agree that the greatest threat of domestic terrorism comes from right-wing militias and white supremacists.  That’s what they say.  Well, ok.

As the Rittenhouse jury deliberates, the National Guard has moved several hundred troops nearby, to handle possibly violent riots after the verdict is released.  Well, ok.

So I presume that the leaders of the National Guard are thinking, “Ok, if Rittenhouse is found innocent, Black Lives Matter and Antifa will be upset, but they’ll use peaceful and legitimate means to air their grievances.  No problem.  But if he’s found guilty, the right-wing whackos out there are going to start burning down fast food joints and attacking bystanders.  We’d better be ready.”

Ok.  Maybe.  But I really, really, really doubt that.

It’s amazing that leftists in general, and the Biden administration in particular, can maintain such an obvious absurdity as a central thesis to their worldview.

Nobody, and I mean nobody, is more scared of right-wing militias than they are the organizations that burned American cities on the nightly news all across this country for several months last year.  The head of Black Lives Matter bought mansions in white neighborhoods – she obviously understands which groups are dangerous.  And I’ll guarantee you that the National Guard in Wisconsin does as well.  Regardless of their politics, I’m sure they know where the real threats are.

But then we have the daily drumbeat of fear coming from the left and the media.  Fear of something that no one is afraid of.

When the success of a political movement is dependent on convincing everyone to be afraid of something that no one is afraid of, you would think that that political movement would have very serious problems.

On the other hand, this worked well for Stalin (no one was afraid of the Kulaks), Hitler (no one was afraid of the Jews), and Mao (no one was afraid of farmers or teachers).  So, I suppose that distracting from real problems by stoking paranoia about a straw man is not a new technique in the field of politics.  Particularly the politics of leftists and tyrants.

So, ok, it often works.

But geez – it looks ridiculous.  Everybody knows why the National Guard is there.  But the real threat is something else – something just out of sight.  Really.

Right.  Ok.  Got it.

No wonder fear of COVID was such an effective tool for the left to gain power.  Fear sells.

I love people.  I really do.

But human nature has real downsides…

Apparently they took to heart what FDR said. They’ve got nothing that helps anyone in America. Fear is all they have.

    Good post.

The Democrats have been talking about the “white supremacist threat” for a long long time. It was a major theme on The West Wing (1999 to 2006). This is a real moneymaker for the media. So few people are actually a part of this supposed movement and so much of their audience identifies with the good guys that it’s a guaranteed Hallmark Channel feel-good experience for the viewers and a safe gamble for their advertisers. They return to this theme as often as they can. It’s a guaranteed goldmine for them.

When I see this theme coming from the media and the Democrats, I can’t help wondering if, like all bullies, they fear, in the back of their mind, a horrific backlash. The bully who pushes the kid on the playground does worry that her victim will retaliate.

Is this what’s happening? I think that’s what was behind Biden’s and Pelosi’s positioning the National Guard troops and razor wire around Washington after the January 6 protest. I think it’s why they have imprisoned all of the protesters.  Because they are afraid if they don’t draw themselves up to their truly terrible full size, create a monstrous “If you hit me, I’ll hit you back four times harder” stance, that the Republicans will justifiably retaliate.

They themselves have made up all these stories about white supremacists. They know the extent of the fiction they’ve created, they know the people they’ve targeted are getting angry about it, and now they are afraid of retribution.

I wish Rush Limbaugh were around this week. He made fun of these people. That took the power away from them.

Rush Limbaugh was one in a million. There’s no one with his sense of humor to take his place. Making fun of your oppressors is the best defense there could ever be. That’s what Reagan did that endeared him to so many people. He put them in their place by making fun of them.

What we have here is triple secret fear.  You have your white supremacists (and every white person is just a slight breeze away from tilting in that direction).  You have your COVID 19, a wicked scary little invisible bug designed to dissolve your lungs at the earliest possible provocation.  And you have your Global Warming, in which modern humanity commits ritual seppuku in super slow motion by burning fuel (including respiration) and failing to listen to the science.  Maybe we’ll all be murdered by white supremacists or will die of COVID before we desiccate on our new desert planet.

Oh save us our enlightened nice people, from our selfish self-destruction.  We shall have to sacrifice virgins (can’t find any), then sons (too Jewish), then meat and dairy,  to deserve this deliverance.  Thank you, thank you, thank you, oh self appointed nice people, for finally providing us the answers and the way!  I shall get a tattoo to celebrate this moment.  On my face (well, maybe not), on my nether region (well, that might be a little sensitive), on my upper arm just above where a short sleeve would cover, of a serpent (too male and too Christian), of a lion (too British), of a shamrock (too Irish) of a heart with the world inside.

Yes, I too am a nice person.  Like my tattoo?  Have a sip of Kombucha.  Happy day!

The Left: “Rittenhouse is a murdererer! No one has the right to enact vigilante justice.”

Also the Left: “We’re gonna murder any juror that votes for acquittal.”

This is why it’s ironic some on the right were trying blame Pelosi for not securing the Capitol for the electoral count session. It’s missing the point. No one…absolutely no one…expected Republican voters to act like BLM.

I saw on Twitter yesterday a brief video from the courthouse steps in Kenosha where a white, supposedly pro-Rittenhouse protester, appeared to be trying to provoke a confrontation with a BLM protester. The other pro-Rittenhouse protesters began calling the person trying to provoke the confrontation a fed–I think after the Jan. 6 and Michigan governor kidnapping scenarios, people are catching on that if someone is agitating violence from the conservative side, it is likely an undercover FBI agent.

Sure BLM knows what’s going on as do Democrat politicians, Soros, the Chinese and their fronts, but ordinary Democrats, just watch the news, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, but only one at a time, so don’t even see the obvious coordination.

Take pictures of the mope, post them on the internet, and take bets on how long it takes the Insane 4chan Posse to run him to ground.

Remember the Tea Party protests? After the first few false flag operations by leftists, Tea Party people started coming prepared with signs saying “infiltrator” and “leftist” and so on to hold behind the bad actors. To prevent the (always dishonest) news media from taking photos and videos to portray the Tea Party as something it was not.

The Democrats are so good at believing their own scary fiction that they ended up killing 82 people including 25 children and 2 pregnant women during the 1993 Waco, Texas, siege.

It’s kind of like the way Stalinists blamed everything on sneaky “wreckers” and the Nazis blamed everything on Jews.

If you need to point to a threat, it’s safest to point at people who either don’t exist or at least won’t fight back.

You might check out JP Sears, on youtube. A very excellent satirist. His humor is not Rush’s, but it still can be laugh out loud funny.

One problem for the up-to-date comic is that reality has gone so far into Bwando-style territory, it is hard to criticize in a humorous way. I mean, I have posted Babylon Bee articles in a very somber, members only forum on FB, to provide some comic relief. Only then,  people have thought the articles reflected some new whack-job approach to policies undertaken by Joe Biden. So I now have to label the articles “Humor from humor site BabylonBee.”

(Bwando is the gatorade like product used to nourish crops in the movie “Idiocracy.”)

Okay, so take the “SSM will destroy Western Civilisation” thing for example.  It’s risible nonsense, but it’s very politically useful risible nonsense – not just to ‘energise the base’ but also to take people’s focus away from other issues which might have more substance.  And it’s worked for both sides of politics – both pro and anti – basically on and off since the Clinton Administration.  That’s almost 30 years of use.

The truth of the matter is the average liberal lives in absolute fear of Trump = conservatives, thanks to leftist and constant media alarm.  A Trump rally is cause to panic, and it should be stopped at all costs because it’s basically Hitler and his cohorts working up their lather.  So, in reality the media controls the message and we can just look on in disbelief.
