Vax Mandates a Purge of Conservatives

This morning, I was listening to the local radio guy, BloomDaddy.  One of his daily features is a debate between opposing sides – often Republican vs Democrat.  This morning, he asked the question if Vax mandates are a method to purge or cleanse the ranks of government agencies and large corporations of conservatives.

Both Republican and Democrat debaters acknowledged that those who oppose the vax mandates tend to be more conservative, and religious.  Where they differed in opinion was the Republican noted one of the intents of vax mandates was to get large numbers of conservatives to resign, withdraw and remove themselves from public service and life, and to replace them with new hires that were compliant with the vax mandate and who also would tend to be more liberal.  The implicit goal was to create a workforce — in government agencies, the military complex, and corporations — that was more consistently liberal in makeup.

The Democrat was spitting about he would not even justify a conspiracy theory like that on a government mandate and it was un-American to tell businesses how they should operate (i.e., not be able to mandate a vax as a condition for employment).

I have been puzzled by the vehement insistence of these mandates, and the demonization of those opposed, and the premise posited above is the most logical explanation. Clearly, it is not about public safety, those who are vaxxed should not have any concern about those unvaxxed (if the vaxxes worked, right?). And those who opt to not get vaxxed are not worried about their statistical risk of death of less than 99.95 percent if they feel healthy and young.

Occam’s razor seems perfectly suited to explain the strategy behind the Liberal Socialists mandating this vax, and demonizing those conservatives who resist.

The conundrum is that conservatives are opting to be purged, because they are resisting the vax, thereby fulfilling the goal of the liberals of purging them.

Hmmm… Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

We need a mandate for an anti-communist vaccine.

I don’t think they planned it ahead of time but it is clearly seen as an added benefit now.  The problem was that government set out to “solve” COVID-19 and can’t admit that it was a complete failure.  Lockdowns and closures were a bust.  Mask mandates made no difference.  The vaccine does not stop the spread.  None of this is a surprise for anyone outside the bubble but like the War on Poverty, Vietnam, or the mortgage-default-driven financial collapse, nobody could admit that the operant strategy was bogus.

The entire hive-mind that is now half of America feared being shown to be wrong and the knuckle-draggers to be right much more than even their over-hyped fear of COVID.  They seized on vaccinations the way they condemned places where freedom prevailed–everyone not part of the hive-mind is causing the pandemic to persist.  People making choices conflicts with the narrative.

It is weird for me as a conservative to find myself envying the Swedes (I scored a tall blonde knockout for my permanent girlfriend a long time ago so that is not a factor in my envy).  No lockdowns, mandates, or BS and they appear to have acquired herd immunity faster than us–at far less cost in lives and treasure.  As liberals actually openly attack public school parents in Virginia, the Swedes send 50% of kids to private schools on vouchers–and the competition made the state-run schools much better as well.

I agree with your assessment that it might not have been pre-planned, but is surely seen as a benefit now, and further drives their incessant demand for mandate compliance.

I also am happy that a tall blond knockout chose you.  For the record, as much as we men fantasize about our ability to score with the women, it is always the women who decide.

I’ll get enthusiastic about Swedish chocolate, the chance to fire a Karl Gustav, and anything involving bikinis.

The trouble with comparing the US to Sweden or any other European country is that we are not Europeans. Lefties love trains. Trains don’t work in the USA for two reasons: 1: the country is huge compared to Europe, and 2: Americans want to leave when they damn well want to, arrive when they damn well please, and take the route that they damn well prefer. I won’t deny that we are control freaks, but American individualism is a big part of America, in large part because the country is big enough for it. Elbow room, said Dan’l Boone.

Doug, you changed the topic.  This is not about trains, or the size of the country. Your second point, about American individualism speaks more to Old Bathos’ envy of the Swedish model of how to handle the Whoo Hoo Flu.  Shouldn’t we as Americans prefer no lockdowns, no mandates, of BS, and school vouchers that create competition to improve the entire education process?

Boone reportedly said he knew it was time to move if he could see the smoke from a neighbor’s chimney. Our concept of elbow room has changed.

My grandfather was born in Minneapolis, moved across the country working in railroad construction for his contractor father, attended Washington State, and then moved east to run a company based in New England.  There is something typical in that–getting to the western edge past undeveloped places and then, having done so, move to urban areas for the new American non-agriculture-based economy.

Sorry. I wanted to make a cornball comment about Sweden.

We as Americans should prefer no lockdowns, no mandates, and school vouchers. Absolutely. We should have access to reliable information that allows us to make decisions that suit us. But the left is oblivious to these facts or that prior to the Trump tax reforms, the corporate tax burden was lower in “socialist” Sweden, and that there is no property tax.

Seriously, this doesn’t address the value of natural immunity, nor of freedom, both of which are distinct and real benefits – and rights, that should be part of the basis for policy and personal decision making.

If natural immunity is more or less equal to, or even as I’ve read superior to, vaccine immunity, then the only reason that vaccine mandates exist are to get everyone vaccinated regardless of efficacy.  I can think of two possible reasons for this, and the most benign reason I can think of is selling vaccines.  And also this could inadvertently affect blacks and conservatives and contrarian types, by purging them from society.

To ask if this is deliberate is too specific a question.  The better question is, Why is the government allowing this these adverse and otherwise discriminatory affects that are well known?  I think the answer is connected to other English-speaking countries in which this affect is not only known but approved by government officials.

And then there is the more fundamental point.  If such a fracturing societal exclusion is the result, why would government officials promote this despite the efficacy of the measures being not scientifically proven?

Among other things, don’t underestimate the ability of some people to believe things that aren’t true/proven, such as vaccine efficacy.  They’ll push for mandates because they BELIEVE the vaccines are safe and effective, even if not proven to be so.

This part never makes sense to me.  If a vaccine is supposed to “program” or “prepare” someone’s immune system against a certain virus, doesn’t that require a pretty healthy immune system to begin with?  And it would seem to increase the risk of complications such as a cytokine storm, if a person’s immune system is already “wonky.”

Sorry but that is a fundamental miss understaning on trains. We dont have less track, we just use it differently. We use it on what pays aka freight. Europeans heavily subsidize there passager trians and only due a fraction of % freight on their rail lines compared to us. So we have cheaper shipping cost for heavy none parshible items than they due and little (% wise) of crony capitalistic transfer of funds.

True. But isn’t it their job to find out?

They probably don’t think they need to, if they already believe it.

That is what is happening.  The country is being destroyed, the economy will begin to decline in the not too distant future, China will exploit it in some way and so will other enemies and friends, but it won’t work, because there was order projected by the existence of the US, and that order allowed economic growth.  China will not be able to replace that, and disorder, some wars, or military disputes almost certainly, but economic decline will follow.  Some post Biden Democrat government will have been imposed and the US will be helpless, but perhaps even start a war.  I don’t think folks, and certainly not Democrats understand any of this.

The idea that anti-vaxxers are conservatives is a total myth.  The biggest group of vaccine avoiders are African-Americans.

If you dream up a conspiracy theory then a purge of black people from government is the more likely conspiracy.

Conservatives are against mandates, but most of them get vaccinated regardless.

The Democrat motto should be, ‘Dystopian Futures R Us’.
