The Lopsided Scales of Justice

Like many Americans, I’m busy. I work and maintain a house, so I catch the news on the fly most days. Quite frankly, I can’t take it for longer than 15-minute intervals because it’s so bad. So I set up the ironing board and flipped on the TV this morning to make sure a meteor wasn’t heading towards Earth. There was our Attorney General on Capitol Hill being grilled on the latest “justice issues.”

A hot question was why the Justice Dept. is getting involved in school board meetings? Talking heads are starting to label parents who question what schools are teaching as domestic terrorists? Some school board meetings have been heated for good reason, and no one condones threats or violence. Where is this coming from? It stems from a letter announcing the investigation of threats that will involve the following agencies?

“The letter noted that law enforcement in some communities needed extra help monitoring threat levels, and specifically asked for resources from the DOJ, FBI, U.S. Secret Service, Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Postal Inspection Service.” — The Hill 10/5/21

Are things that bad? The post office? Are these issues not under the authority of local law enforcement? Then the Attorney General was asked about his son-in-law, who is involved in a company that supplies “critical race theory” materials to schools, and has received a lot of money, including from Mark Zuckerberg and other big donors? What? Is that a conflict in his job as Attorney General, someone asks? Are you kidding? Hit the off button on the remote, don’t burn the shirt that I’m ironing — take a sip of water. It’s getting hot in here — turn on the paddle fan.

Hoping that topic is done, hit the on button. More taxpayer money to address the rampant drug and gun issues that are permeating our country. Yes, said the Attorney General — we are addressing these critical issues because many are dying needlessly from drug overdoses and there are too many crimes involving guns. We are “stepping up and cracking down,” he says.  I think…..with what? Are you sure you didn’t mean you are stepping down and cracking up? Have you checked the Border lately? How many drugs, criminals and weapons have you caught there? Could an open border with many law enforcement and border patrol being unsupported and understaffed, have anything to do with it?

How about the vaccination mandates, causing many long-time officers to hang it up? Yet illegal immigrants who are not vaccinated are pouring in — I think we are up to a million, and being loaded on planes and shipped around the country at night? Is that not totally backward, Mr. Attorney General? Gasp! Click the off button again. This is insane!

Sheepishly click the on button after waiting 15 minutes… Criminal justice reform gets brought up and voting rights issues — really? Again? Someone asks, has anyone been charged for Insurrection since Jan. 6th?  The AG says no. Have you checked the conditions of people being held in jail since Jan. 6th? The AG says no — “he may have heard things are not tolerable” and they are looking into it… Click off a third and last time.

Help me understand — is the priority law and order, justice for all, protection of Freedom of Speech? Help us to understand Mr. Attorney General, why crime is up, drug use is up, lawlessness is overlooked or ignored, when we have had the resources and funds to correct these issues, yet you are focusing on parents at school board meetings?

I have likewise had this hearing on and off with points addressed that are hardly believable as reality in the America where I was born. The Democrat Party, whose members are now the politicians leading the federal government executive and legislative branches, is dominated by Communists and Communists fellow-travelers and we are seeing that in action in this hearing.

Enforcement seems to be increasingly devoted to suppressing observations about the emperor’s new clothes.

A school board meeting can be a slugfest over football programs or discipline policies and no one in DC cares but challenge the indoctrination classes and it’s “go time” for the feds.  Every control measure against COVID was a failure.  All existing science said they would fail–all the more important to compel compliance and silence criticism.

Given the scope of failure and incompetence by our current ruling “elite” the FBI is going to have its hands full crushing dissent.

Kinda reminds me of the SSM stuff where everybody had to comply right NOW and they tracked down a resistor in the backwoods of Kentucky that did not immediately comply and vaporised them.  The various governments take forever to do things but they move fast on these Leftist little pet projects to destroy the civilization.

Front Seat Cat: I think we are up to a million

1.7MM apprehended and released – or more properly described – infiltrated into Red states.  The actual number is unknown, with hundreds of thousands more who are not apprehended.

Nothing to worry about, The Liberals plan is proceeding exactly as they wish and intend.

I didn’t watch much of it but I did see the part when the AG was asked about the environmental activists attacking the Department of the Interior.  He stated that he hadn’t heard of it.

Ever get the feeling that the fix is in?

Postal inspectors would be the ones who could track mailed threats etc, pretty sure local law enforcement doesn’t have that authority.

There were a couple surprisingly good (I thought, anyway) movies starring Louis Gossett Jr, “The Inspectors” and “The Inspectors 2.”  Worth seeing if you can find them.  I happened to notice them on Cinemax or something, several years ago, and got clean digital recordings of both which I’ve made into DVDs for friends and relatives.  The first movie may be available on commercial DVD, although rare.  As far as I can tell, the second movie never came out on DVD officially.

That’s because I’ll bet he never watches anything but PBS, CNN and reads the NYT. That story only appeared on right of center and conservative sites.

Even if some parents were somehow a threat, which I find hard to believe, where was the justice department when BLM and the like were actually rioting?  This is such bull crap. The justice department goes after hypothetical threats from parents but is hands off left wing rioters?  I can no longer believe I live in the United States of America. This has become a third world banana republic.

Could there possibly be a worse AG than Eric “I’ve got your back Barack” Holder?  The “moderate” Merrick “Show me the parent and I’ll show you the crime” Garland provides the answer in the affirmative.

We need to confront the absolute fact that the American Justice system has been severely compromised. Many of the thugs, like Joe Biden and Merrick Garland pushing  this Policed State crap need to be go to prison minimally forever for their crimes. Right now. They have tossed the Constitution and it’s god given  inalienable rights in the trash without any serious pushback or thought of the consequences. Too many attorneys here at Ricochet want to defend this crap , but the pushback may be gaining steam.  These attorneys  have forgotten that the  Constitution is the foundation of all American law and when you trash that foundation all rule of law is totally at risk. The consequences of that trashing may be simply horrific. There may be soon no law at all, just the Rule of the Gun. The Great Awakening may be upon us and it just may be time to revisit that Constitutional thingy for your own good.

The reason this statement is exactly on point is that it is clear that the only punishment available to use against politicians who blatantly violate their oath to uphold the Constitution is the election process and the integrity of the election process is being destroyed by the progressive Democrats.

Democrats want nonwhite people to feel like victims so they vote Democrat. If black and brown felt like, “Well there are some nobodies that can only see my color but that ain’t gonna stop me.”, they might not vote for democrats. Democrats are the party of disempowering people.
