Jokes Are Funny!
So as a few people know beyond my Ricochet podcast I have a hobby channel on YouTube. In fact, one of my videos actually got up to 1,600 views recently!
But I am also friends with a bunch of really successful YouTubers, who have anywhere from 20000 to 200000 subscribers. Back in August, we all traveled to Vegas to finally meet each other in person, and amongst that crowd, is a guy named Vito Gusualdi. Vito until yesterday is famous for making a Youtube video called “The Last Jedi: A Complete Cinematic Failure.” A video that has 9.5 million views and until most recently was the first video that came up in YouTube search if you looked for that movie.
A lot of our friends were attending Cinemacon while I spent my days being a tourist. So at one point Vito and I had two hours to kill and we spent it in the Bellagio playing video blackjack. Vito and I kept insulting the video dealer every time we lost a hand. Vito pointed out the great thing about electronic dealers, is that if we talked like we did to a real person, we would be kicked out of the casino.
I also learned that Vito is pretty much a typical liberal, and basic progressive. He calls himself a professional idiot. He has almost all the correct progressive views, but he doesn’t like cancel culture.
So you can imagine my surprise yesterday when I went on Twitter yesterday and discovered that Vito is the new face of ‘right-wing counter-revolutionary protest.’
See Vito and a friend of his went to the Netflix Anti Dave Chappelle protest He and his buddy carried signs including Dave is Funny and Jokes are Funny. They were not welcome at the protest, and were attacked and had their signs destroyed at one point.
It’s the most ridiculous thing ever. At the moment Vito’s sign is being wrecked he is clearly shouting “TRANS LIVES MANNER” and after they rip up his sign, someone says ‘he’s got a weapon’ to which Vito starts shouting “I have a weapon!”
Now Vito is everywhere, last night on Timcast they started the show with Vito coverage, and for some technical reason they couldn’t bring up his video. This morning I watched this liberal comedian on Fox news, something I am sure he never thought would happen. Vito is now everywhere on right-wing news. This progressive liberal is now no doubt being called the new face of white supremacy.

Wow! I liked his LJ takedown, will watch it again now. I don’t watch the news, so this is the first I’ve heard of this. I was aware that Dave is being yelled by the trannies again. Will check that stuff out too.
Old saying — a conservative is a liberal who has been mugged by reality. We’ll keep a seat at the table for Vito.

Interesting. I saw bits of this yesterday but didn’t fully follow it. I assumed he was conservative because of his message and that he was the only one I could see who wasn’t wearing a mask.
Oh yeah. It makes it even more funny for me and others to know this liberal guy is the new face of ‘right wing crazies.’
if “Jokes Are Funny” is “hate-speech” then anything can be called that.
“Jokes Are Funny”. OK, but even jokes by Stephen Colbert?
He doesnt make jokes. He makes hackneyed political sermons.
I saw the video this morning. The left is a cancer that eats itself.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched that.
I have seen more than one youtube person I watch around entertainment who clearly were center left or further, get cast as and pushed towards, the right. People who would never think to side with the right are getting sent over there.
