What Is Happening to Our Country?

What is happening to our country? @docrobert posted about the supply chain issue, focusing on California ports (just one port of many), but these supply shortages and delivery issues are just one, in a long list of serious problems in the “new, woke Biden administration’s America.” Our Transportation Czar, Pete Buttigieg, has taken a maternity leave since August, to stay home with his gay partner. Dear Mr, Buttigieg, you may have a doctor before your name, but neither you nor your partner carried a child for nine months, or went through a grueling and exhausting delivery, and never will. Why such a long leave? In the meantime, people are waiting for building materials, appliances, furniture, computers, auto parts, and many other critical supplies, that you should be on the job resolving. Pete, can you address the country on our supply chain and delivery issues and what you are doing about it?

The babies arrived amid the delay of a bipartisan infrastructure bill and growing concerns over product shortages and the sluggish transport of goods, inconveniences that have only grown more biting as the pandemic continues.  On Friday, Mr. Buttigieg’s twins cooed in the background as he spoke by phone about the “pro-family” policies.

Let’s continue:

Walgreens just bailed on San Francisco after experiencing $1000 in thefts a day, despite beefed-up security. A drugstore! They have a raging crime problem, and during Obama’s reign, they complained that there was an unjustified skew of minority incarcerations.

So they changed the laws to err on the side of the criminals instead of fixing the problems. So-called “petty theft”, drug arrests, and home break-ins were not considered serious crimes, so don’t prosecute! Now we have the results. I believe our vice president, Kamala Harris, was involved in this, hollering racism.  Is this not also Nancy Pelosi’s district? Does she not need a drugstore?

A generation after Democrats embraced “tough on crime” policies that swelled prison populations, progressive activists are pushing to make the criminal justice system less punitive and racist — and polls show a majority of Democrats support such efforts. Harris has argued that her views align with the new progressive movement. But her record in California, where she was a prosecutor, district attorney, and state attorney general before representing the state in the US Senate, has come under harsh scrutiny and debate since she launched her own presidential campaign in 2019.

Harris argues that she’s fought to reverse incarceration, scale back the war on drugs, and address racial disparities in the criminal justice system.  So young people are taught that you can take what is not yours, and it’s not a crime, not a sin. You deserve it.  Also, is she not in charge of our Border Crisis?  Vice President Harris, can you address our country and tell what you are doing about the Border Crisis?

It’s all over the news that fuel and heating costs are escalating this winter between 40-50%?!  This includes oil, gas, and propane.  I thought under Trump, we were energy independent?!  We had so much energy, oil, gas, that we were exporting it.  In fact, I remember Trump topping off our national reserves because prices were so low, and it was a good price.  That is the markings of good business sense.   Under Biden, the pipelines have been plugged, and no further oil and gas resources will be pursued.  So hat tip by Biden to the “Build Back Better” Klaus fan club, that all cars will have to be electric by 2030, and those fuel-guzzling homes that insist on keeping warm this winter, can just order up a solar panel from China or suffer.

Undocumented refugees keep pouring across the border, and no one knows where they are being shipped to, if they have Covid, or who else is coming in with them.  That’s because, despite begging from border control, they are still pushing through anyone with little monitoring, and the Border Patrol is overwhelmed.  So ignore our immigrant laws on the books?

Also overwhelmed are the police in our country, who are finding themselves ambushed, and killed.  Why is there no outcry from our government to this lawlessness?  So those that we count on to protect us, have no protection or support from the current Biden administration.  Not a peep for these fallen men and women in blue, who go out day and night to protect us from harm.  It’s despicable.

Also under Biden’s watch, he insists that there be a vaccine mandate.  Last night on the news, it was reported that at midnight, half the EMTs in Maine will be gone.  If you have a health emergency, you cannot count on someone showing up to help you.  This is only one harmful issue to U.S. citizens. The airline industry, many corporations, the military, want the freedom to decide if they want a shot, not lose their job/careers.  We have never been asked to make a choice like this and it is wrong.  They are pitting the vaccinated and unvaccinated against each other, and next will be the Green Pass, such as being implemented in Europe (with protests and pushback).

Everywhere there are “Help Wanted” signs.

Why are there a record number of people quitting? Are those numbers factored into the jobs report?  I don’t understand why we need a $3.5 TRILLION package to “help” working families, when there are plenty of jobs, that they are quitting. Our local roads are clogged up twice a day because of the hundreds of parents having to drop off and pick up their kids from school, due to a bus driver shortage!  The local Whataburger is paying $22/HR to flip burgers and cannot find help.

We have plenty of energy, our country is rich in natural resources, and we are a sovereign nation that honors the rule of law.  We have the world’s best education, medical facilities, and military, and most importantly, founding documents that promote freedom, freedom of religion, of the press, and of speech.  We have what we need to be prosperous and independent.  How many of our elected have read the 27,000 pages of this massive spending bill, and yet voted to keep raising the debt ceiling?

The United States should be a beacon of opportunity, but our bright light is dimming under the current leadership.  Our duty to family and country has darkened, thanks to handouts and free everything.  What has happened to our country? We haven’t even touched on our current foreign policy mess.  I hope something gets resolved through upcoming elections, but I fear these problems run deeper than politics. Your thoughts? What can we do to resolve these corrosive issues?

Stupid voters get what they deserve, unfortunately the rest of us get it too.

Good post, and good question.  I’m sure it’s complicated.  My broad and general hypothesis is: sow the wind, reap the whirlwind.

    Front Seat Cat: Your thoughts?

If you do an update next Saturday, things will be significantly worse that today. (Unless, that is, your goal is to hit rock bottom as quickly as possible.)

I can think of one good reason to remove anonymous voting and institute a system of “internal passports”:  Don’t let people vote and then leave if what they voted for, wins.

If they vote for – or not to recall – Gavin Newsom, they can’t leave California for at least one election cycle.  Only people who didn’t vote for him, and/or voted to recall, are allowed to “flee.”  The rest have to sleep in the bed they made.

Not sure how that could apply to national elections, but… baby steps!

However you want to put it, doesn’t much matter.  The state-type solution I describe isn’t useful on a national level because even people who didn’t vote for Biden aren’t that interested in leaving the US.  And the practicalities of having Biden policy affect only Biden voters, would be very difficult to implement.  Although if you can figure it out, I’d love for only Biden voters to pay higher energy bills.

Three point five trillion dollar amount per  “The Rescue America Plan” will guarantee many valuable dollars to pour into slush funds!

And since citizens no longer are willing to get vaxxed with the medical experiment, our “elected” officials need “monetary incentives” to help convince them to continue to mask up students, demand vaccines of county and state workers and more. (Pharmacy workers are admitting that although there still in people standing in lines to get shots, they are people waiting for the boosters. So many of those who went the experimental med route will continue to do so. Those who have held out this long have no intention of rolling up their sleeves.)

The Vandalia Illinois mom who spouted off the amounts of money her one school district is receiving – an amount over 5 million dollars – indicates that prolonging the restrictions pays well for those in positions to “make hay while the plague fines” and penalties can accrue.

Meanwhile there were revelations galore during Thursday’s Deputy Secretary of the US Treasury Wally Adeymo’s recent ABC interview.

The Oct 14th interview can be viewed here:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VsY55bpspDY

At the 6:06 point of his remarks,  Adeymo stated: “We face an economy that is in transition.”

Then Adeymo points out, with reference to the slam our economy took because of the COVID charade: “We will use every kit in our took kit.” By this he means the 3.5 billion dollars worth   of resources inside The  American Rescue Plan.

A rather telling Boom! moment is when Adeymo states: “The only way that we can get to a place  of transition is if everyone in America gets vaccinated.”  He goes on to say the only way that there can be fairness in the tax payment structure is for the IRS and treasury  to get information about Americans’  bank accounts.

Both he and the ABC reporter interviewing him are structuring the idea  that only by having a six hundred dollar bank reporting regulation will the wealthiest among us pay their fair share.

Because as we all know, most wealthy people have dozens of bank accounts where they hide their monies by making multiple 600 buck transactions every moment of the day. (I find it hard to believe that Biden, who hails from Delaware, the corporate home to top companies and their Headquarters, has never heard of the Cayman Islands and other offshore accounts, but oh well.)

Remember when an interviewer asked Obama about the negative effects some of this proposed policies would have on the economy? His answer was, “It’s about fairness, Charlie”. In other words, “Don’t bother me with your petty concerns.”

I was dumb enough to think those progressives were just delusional fools who didn’t understand the idea of causes and effects. I believed that they believed their policies could be implemented with no real negative consequences. Then, I heard Mark Levin talk about the “de-growth movement”. It’s all intentional. If he is right, it’s us or them and the war has begun. We haven’t started fighting yet and we’re losing.

But you know, all elections are national elections because they all potentially affect health care, and health care is covered under the Commerce Clause.  As well as selling votes across state lines.

Not really so complicated, I and many others, predicted exactly these results if Mr. Biden became President. Hang on it doesn’t get better.  Only those who didn’t want to think about consequences, didn’t care because they are insulated from things like inflation or think their agenda to ‘fix’ us Plebes is way more important than a few unpleasantries were willing to vote for disaster.
The other factor, perhaps a stronger one, is that the “Moderates” voted “Not Trump”; that alone, and damn the consequences.  The unmentionable fact is most any candidate who ignores the ‘Middle’ does so at his peril. They almost always determine the outcome,  though they are likely the least informed, get used to it.

Over the last 16 months, reading here how many Republicans demand the right to acquiesce to our Uber Federal Government, as long as the media narrative is consistent enough to bray out, 24/7, “You Will All Die If You Don’t Surrender to Big Pharma,” I feel both parties are morphing into something unrecognizable.

Given that the internet allows anyone willing to spend 20 minutes a day with information obliterating the “Official Narrative” I find it absurd that so many supposedly well educated R’s want either a 400 buck a piece vaccine, as long as they pretend that don’t realize they are paying for it, or  monoclonal antibodies, also very expensive.

The simpler, cost effective remedies have been ignored and even scorned by so many here, because they don’t realize that although “their insurer” will pick up the cost of monoclonal antibodies, and the government will pick up the cost of the vaccines, in the end our children and grandchildren will have to pay off the ever looming deficits to budgets, both in terms of health insurance premiums and taxes, or else face society-destroying inflation. (On edit: With the way things are going, we can expect to be facing both looming health insurance costs, rising Fed deficit, and massive amounts of inflation.)

It’s hard to predict the polar vortex. But ramifications of The Three Gorges Dam’s catastrophic problems this summer off in China have to factored in as well.
