Welcome Owen Brennan

BrennanEver since last night’s episode of the Radio Free Delingpole podcast went live from the account of one Owen Brennan, we’ve been receiving questions: Who is he? Why is he so roguishly handsome? Will James Delingpole work my kid’s birthday party? We can’t help you on that last one, but allow us to introduce you to the newest member of team.

Owen is a former speechwriter for Rudy Giuliani and a former producer for both Joe Scarborough and Bill O’Reilly. These days, he’s one of the guys at the helm of Madison McQueen, a Southern California creative agency that’s bringing Hollywood production values to the war of ideas. He’s also now working in tandem with the Blue Yeti to churn out more episodes of the Ricochet podcasts you already love and to help roll out new series that we’ll be introducing in the near future. We’re delighted to have him with us. Please welcome Owen Brennan to Ricochet.

yeah, I was going to post on the Delingpole Thread “ok, guy… I see you’ve been around since 2010, and haven’t posted since 2012.  What’s the deal?”

But I figured all would be revealed.   It generally is.

Huzzah!  Working together again, Owen–at last!  (Owen and I did some television together at the 2008 GOP convention, and I found him relaxed, funny, completely professional, and very smart. We’re lucky to have him here at Ricochet.)

Although I don’t understand the work that you do, I gather this stuff is super important, so I’m glad to have you on board.

Thank you Ricochet for the warm welcome and the book jacket blurb-ready “roguishly handsome” remark. Seriously, I will now write a book just to put that on the cover.

Looking forward to working with everyone and if you’re interested in the other productions we work on, here’s one of our latest:

Former speechwriter for Rudy?!! You are most certainly welcome and I want to hear some good stories about one of my favorite guys.

Let’s start with this: Why was Giuliani blasphemed for suggesting a third mayoral term immediately after 9/11 but Bloomberg skated through his extension with nary an eyebrow raised?

Owen, it should also be noted, can often be found with a cocktail in his hands.

He’s of sound character.  He’ll fit right in.

Yet another impressive notch on the résumé.
