Uncommon Knowledge: Paul Peterson and Rick Hanushek on School Choice

 

In this clip from my recent with discussion with Paul Peterson and Rick Hanushek — both members of Hoover’s K-12 Task Force on Education — I ask them to evaluate Milton Friedman’s proposal for school vouchers, now over a half-century old. Is it a practical idea? Have charter schools solved most of the same problems? And are competitive pressures reshaping public schools in America? Their answers below:

    Peter,

    These two stories were recently on Breitbart.  If they are true, what other lunacy is being covered up in Common Core.  I think we are seeing a melt down.  Like with the ACA everyone wanted to improve the situation but what they got was worse than nothing.
