Trump’s New PACs

So after winning the nomination Donald Trump has announced that he’s going to form Super PACs with the intention of defeating fellow Republicans Ted Cruz, John Kasich, and a third person, unnamed but widely believed to be Ben Sasse.

This is what I love about Trump. He is what is known as a mensch. You have to admire the mentality of a man who — while running for president — announces an effort to defeat his fellow Republicans because they didn’t support him, and yet says he’s mostly focused on defeating Hillary Clinton.

I for one, applaud Trump for his deeply felt commitment to the Constitution (which he knows better than anybody), to conservatism, (as he is more conservative than anyone), and to the Republican party (from which he intends to purge personally disloyal to him).

What a country.

I bet Trump will spend more of his personal wealth trying to defeat conservatives than he will trying to win the Presidency.

Where can I donate? Is there a link?

What about John McCain and Paul Ryan? Shame on Trump for omitting them!

McCain and Ryan aren’t conservative enough for Trump to spend his own money to help defeat.

Anyone who wants to defeat Ben Sasse and Ted Cruz has no business calling themselves a conservative.

How does not wanting the Republican nominee for President to try to defeat Republicans translate into supporting Clinton?

Mr. Trump is compelled to demonstrate that there are consequences to crossing him – otherwise, people might not think he’s strong.

We’ve entered bizzaro world.  Trump supporters are demanding that #NeverTrumpers support their man, while Trump himself is busily working to destroy whatever unity the Party has left.

I think we established in another post “#NeverTrump” is an offensive phrase worthy of a trigger warning. The Donald and [redacted] very delicate feelings.

The Democrats vote in lockstep and kill their blue dogs- tough guys.

GOP plays that game, the horror.   The GOP should have done this to McCain and other off the reservation media hounds long ago.

I almost checked the premise of this conversation in Snopes, but here is a reference: http://www.bloomberg.com/politics/articles/2016-07-22/trump-would-fund-super-pacs-aimed-at-taking-down-cruz-kasich-iqybu9m1

What a petty, little shameful man.

Is this what they mean by money to burn? I am sure there are a few left wing consulting firms in Austin that will burn tens of millions of Trump’s dollars giving Texas more reason to re-elect Cruz or secede.

Given what we’re seeing at the Democrat convention right now, I believe it’s not irrational to question the long-term efficacy of that authoritarian Democrat approach.

Remember Arlen Specter? That was my first clue that there was something terminally wrong with these people. It was the first sign of cancer and it went untreated.

And look at what they did to Joe Lieberman for nothing more than being a neo-con. He was a full-blown socialist but that wasn’t enough to protect him.

Since it is election-related, isn’t he violating the law?  It definitely can’t be tax exempt.  Attacking the most principled conservatives means many will not vote for him. He couldn’t defeat Donald Duck without us.

Sampson proved his strength by pushing apart the pillars.  As I recall, that didn’t end well for him.  Perhaps Trump might consider proving his strength against, you know, Democrats.

First you cover your rear flank from the long knives before you go at the main enemy. Cruz and Kasich are going to make media trouble the whole campaign , essentially as unpaid Hillary surrogates. Trump can now discredit them attacks by saying it is them covering their own asses.

Each of the GOPer are the political equivalent of media suicide bombers.

    Politics aint beanbag.
