We enjoyed great conversation, ate well, and loved having Troy Senik among us. You can see that our exchanges were not 100% politics. Actually, I'm not sure politics came up that much . . . I did hear something about Mitt Romney's dog from the main contributor.
Oh, yes, there was some weighing of podcasters and writers. Words that don't tend to pop up in everyday conversation, such as "pathologies," were thrown around, actually in concise, well-put statements, as if the speaker were making a polished Ricochet comment on the site. There was also some discussion about vaccines--one of us had some strongly held views on them.
We often wandered to the topic of one another's vocations and avocations, all interesting. This was a well-educated, thoughtful, decent and fun bunch of people. I feel as if I've made some friends and am anticipating future interactions with them on Ricochet. You know who you are--feel free to identify yourselves and post more pictures. (I am first on the right in the top picture.) Thank you to Nicegrizz, the organizer, to the member who made our attractive name-tags, and to several of you who were our photographers.
