Sly & Funny
This is really worth watching, from a very funny — and sneakily pro free-market — comedian David Angelo:
Key line: talking about Obamacare’s provisions that cover psychotherapy, it’s a case of “trying to fix people with mental health problems even at the risk of shrinking the Democratic voter base”
Enjoy.

OK. Depressing Monday salvaged! Gracias.
Very funny! Thanks for sharing this, Rob. I was a fan of Mr. Angelo’s eEconomics You Tube channel, I wondered what he was doing recently.
“I’m a comedian. It’s like an architect but with net negative value to society.”
Btw his Youtube Channel is pretty good stuff. I’ve been subscribed for a while:
https://www.youtube.com/user/eEconomics/videos
I especially enjoyed the one about Income taxes, why marginal rates don’t really matter, and how Berkshire Hathaway actually works, in 4 minutes. A very good series.
And, the full, less-SFW, series is linked on his Twitter, which is worth a follow.
Actually LOLing.
Mucho funnisda! Day Nada!
Pure Gold, Pure Platinum. Thank you for sharing this. I hunger for such information sources and if this video is any kind of portent of his regular work, I will continue the rest of this week dying of laughter.“That’s just my problem with society: too much critical thinking.”
“I saw this article on then Huffington Post, which is a great resource if you are looking to punch drywall.”
This dude is something else.
I just saw that video after I clicked on the link (minimum wage is something I have done a lot of research for both in high school and at the university) and his sarcasm and analysis is awesome. The standard for journalism is so low when a couple of platitudes are enough to destroy a classical economic argument that it doesn’t even cover. He’s right though, the left clamors over simple campaign slogans that essentially assume a real simple world view and ignore all the fine details of this complex world.
Huffington Post: The case against capitalism. Its makes money but adds no value to society.
Just wanted to add my voice to the chorus recommending his Eeconomics series of videos. Very funny and it’s a breath of fresh air to see an entertainer who actually understands how economics works and can demolish liberal cliches with quick, easy-to-follow arguments.
Also, reading through his tweets, I do like this contribution of his to the #10ThingsNotToSayToAWriter meme:
“How about instead of an ambiguous ending, you actually make a choice?”
Holy cow I’ve watched three in a row. this guy is a incredible. “Let me show you guys a little trick that will keep you from paying ATM fees ever again. You go into the bank…and you get your money from the bank.”
Tell me this is what you were talking about pitching on last week’s Ricochet? This is genius!!
Took me 10 months to make that graphic…..
Genius. I’ve seen him a couple of times on Red Eye and in YouTube videos; glad to see him on Comedy Central.
So funny! Thanks, Rob.
I’m pretty sure he’s going to lose a lot of you on Ep. 14 – Roads.
Awesome link. I love this guy!
This is the future of the right. We need to be ridiculing the left and their simple, feel good slogans, like ” health care is a human right”. If we can capture the spirit of this; conservatism is cool, and even a bit snarky, since it’s what people, ADULTS, living in the real world, “get”. Liberalism is for children, novices, simpletons–people who don’t understand how things work and what motivates people. It’s cute and nice and makes you feel good, but it’s a fairytale–make believe. Still believe in Santa Claus, awww, so cute!
“Gold, Jerry, gold!”
Jamie: link to the roads episode?
And yes, I’m inclined toward entertainment without too much optimism about a person’s politics. I thought his shots against Obamacare were pretty good, but that doesn’t mean there’s now a conservative on comedy central (or anywhere else in hollywood). ;)

I hope he keeps his gig in Comedy Central.
So… Conservatives CAN be funny. That should come as news to most media outlets.
Funny stuff, Rob, thanks.
Thank you Rob. Very funny indeed.
