Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 50 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
Join Jim and Greg as they applaud former New York Times opinion writer Bari Weiss for resigning and blasting the Times for becoming a forum only for the far left. They also chronicle Joe Biden’s ongoing embrace of the Bernie Sanders agenda, which is curious since he was nominated for not being Bernie Sanders. And they dissect the ego and delusion required for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to create a poster to explain what a terrific job he did handling the COVID outbreak in his state.

The New York Times is not liberal. It is Progressive. Know the difference.
Also, she’s the Stray Lady now, prostituted by her Progressive pimps.
Ari,
If cute little Bari Weiss can summon up the nerve to sock the Grey Lady right in the kisser then maybe Brett Stephens ought to take the hint. Otherwise, he isn’t just a sellout but a coward.

Jim
Cheerios >>> Biden
I wouldn’t be surprised if NYT assumed that Bari Weiss, being female and Jewish, would be another liberal hire, if not leftist. What a shock they were in for!
ke,
Good things come in small packages.

Jim
He may not have a choice — both Weiss and Stephens came from The Wall Street Journal, but while Stephens has angered people on the left at the paper when he veers away from Trump-bashing, Weiss had a special place on their hate list because she’s both Jewish (not the woke crowd’s favorite religion by a longshot, even if they keep any grumbling about the Sulzbergers muted) and the fact she’s also a woman, where women not totally loyal to The Cause draw a special hatred from the left.
With Weiss gone, the SJW mob at the Times is going to have to find another target, and Stephens may not have a choice but to be the next one in the barrel (I suppose they could go after Ross Douthat or David Brooks, but the former’s columns don’t seem to have the same sort of bite that elicits white-hot hatred, while Brooks is sort of like all those WaPo ‘conservative’ columnists who are there mainly to agree with liberals on the key issues of the day).
