Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 50 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America take note of how it took less than 48 hours for Democrats to turn the impeachment process into a farce as House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff opened Thursday’s hearing with a stunningly twisted version of the transcript documenting the Trump-Zelensky phone call in July. They also walk through the declassified whistleblower report and point out what is likely to matter most as this process moves along. And they get a kick out of Elizabeth Warren changing her mind on whether it’s OK for the children of vice presidents to sit on the boards of foreign companies.

“Have you met the President of the United States?” That made me laugh out loud.
Wow, who should I believe about what Trump said and whether it was “bad” – Jim Geraghty or Richard Epstein who actually knows what he’s talking about?

We should thank Adam Schiff for having so crazy a response to the transcript, etc. that it forced Jim Geraghty to sound almost sensible for a change.
I laughed too but then wondered if Trump’s divorces were messy. I remember that his ex wives wouldn’t say anything bad about him during the campaign even though the adversarial press was salivating for any bad news.
NDAs?
Probably. He seems to be fond of them.
He was in my social consciousness enough that I knew Ivana and Marla but not much beyond that.
Which may just show that the media weren’t offering as much money as they’d have lost by “dishing.”
It does not appear that only Democrat Representatives that hear what they want to hear. Jim and Greg really need to listen to Richard Epstein’s take on this. He dismissed the idea that the phone call contained anything impeachable or even “problematic.” Epstein also points out that it was Zelensky brought up the whole issue of Hunter Biden.
Heck, Mr. Epstein was calling for Trump to resign only two or three months into his term. Not his biggest fan.
He makes that point in that short podcast.
It’s in my queue. I’ll bump it to ‘play next’.
The funniest part of the whole podcast was near the end. Epstein stated he planned to vote for Trump, in the hope Trump would resign shortly after the election. When you’ve lost Richard Epstein . . .
It’s not like Trump will do it.
Epstein does not think Trump will resign, either. Epstein is still going to vote for Trump because the Democrat alternatives are so much worse.
If only Epstein could convince some more people on Ricochet…
