Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America welcome former Defense Secretary Gen. James Mattis making an urgent plea to end political tribalism because a unified America is a stronger America. They’re also sad to learn that health problems are forcing the retirement of Georgia GOP Sen. Johnny Isakson and they’re also not thrilled that there’s another Republican-held seat headed to the ballot in 2020. And they discuss why the allegations of Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar may raise legal issues and possibly complicate her political future.

I was thinking the same thing … This divorce proceeding has been going on since April, and we’re only hearing of it now?
If this had been a republican – I can bet there would have been wall to wall media coverage for the past 4 months.
Leland Yee, is another prime example of media bias in story selection. A California State Rep, gets caught running guns, and is sent to prison – CNN has barely covered it – its barely made a ripple in the national news. But we all know had this been a texas republican, his name would be linked to every congressman, senator and candidate for the next decade.
The jokes on Omar just write themselves.
You know, I can really see the republicans retaking the house in 2020.
You have AOC out there with her New House group threatening to primary moderate democrats, you have the extremists like AOC who also unpopular at home. Wouldnt it be funny, if 30 – 40 democrats suffer bruising divisive primaries, and can’t mount a decent general election campaign?
You’d have united government in 2020 with republicans running everything… Democrats would be in shock, demanding a 100 recounts…
I only listen to this podcast for Jim. Corombos is neither witty nor insightful.
And Republicans would have no excuses for not getting things done…again.
The show is designed to be that way. It’s no reflection on @gregcorombos. He’s the straight man and interviewer, except when they do the end of the year stuff.
I was only predicting the impossible improbable election – not a miracle.
Not just an affair, but also possibly illegal payments from Omar. Details discussed in the above video.
Jim is the guy intended to be listened to, however…how can we contact them to tell Jim to quit talking on the speaker phone!!?? It’s very hard to hear him. He didn’t used to sound like this.
Greg has been known to be in the comments.
