Once again, beautiful artwork, EJ.
Rob and Jonah have never read the Harry Potter books? Not even once?
I’ve bought several of your books @jonahgoldberg… I’ll happily buy you a copy of the first HP book. The first hit’s always free.
Easter egg at the very end.
Harry Potter voices, medieval times first dates, and Natty Boe? Well done, gentlemen.
yah but it doesn’t get good until the third book.
The pigs have flown. I finally find agreement with Podhoretz on Trump… :o)
In fact, back during the Republican Primary, I recall telling my five followers that Trump was merely acting out the Chevy Chase bar scene from Caddyshack. Finding himself left alone at a table with three beautiful ladies, the bored Ty Webb, one by one, proceeds to grossly offend and chase off each lady with ever increasing degrees of offence.
In the end he was left alone, but boy what a horrible time it would have been for any one of them who remained.
As I listened to his remarks on Monday and saw him defy logic, history and the entire US Intelligence Community, I remember that he has this tendency to do that. The intellectual gymnastics the 4-D Chess crowded will be replaced by determining how fast they justify his walk-back and select the most appropriate wine to serve with crow.
What were they talking about?
Second funniest GLoP evah! I was about to say “just behind the cornhole episode,” but then you shouldn’t use that particular preposition WRT that noun.
Rob Potter: “No criticism of The Great Glop!”
Jonah Weasley: “Yea, step off, or I’ll Expecto Patronun you!”
John Granger: “What they said, putz!”

It’s Genny (as in Gennesee) Cream Ale. And Utica Club was made by F.X. Matt Brewing Company in Utica, New York. We took school field trips to that brewery. They now make Saranac beer.
McDonalds – *never* use the drive-through. It’s almost always faster to go inside.
Plus, didn’t you see Joe Pesci in Lethal Weapon 2 (or was it 3?) “They always [redacted] you in the drive-through!”.
I was thinking of GLOP yesterday when I was sitting at a bar in Indiana watching the Cornhole championship on ESPN (yes, I’m completely serious).
One of the guys played with a thermos in one hand. I don’t know if it held beer, but I’m convinced he was holding it because his entire throwing form was developed holding a beer in his hand and he simply can’t replicate his throw without holding something in his left hand.
One of the best GLoPs ever, overflowing with intelligence, wit, and good humor. And it had JPod as well. Thank you.
Really digging the artwork, @ejhill! My only quibble is that Rob/Harry’s scar should be an R> logo rather than a lightning bolt. :-)
Incorrect. The first book is wonderful. The second book is the weakest of the bunch. And then it is back to wonderful for the reminder of the series.
Sigh….DeLillo’s, Arthur Avenue. Fond memories. Yum.
From The Cable Guy:
Steven: Can I get a knife or fork?
Wench: There were no utensils in medieval times, hence there are no utensils AT Medieval Times. Would you like a refill on that Pepsi?
Steven: There were no utensils but there was Pepsi?
Wench: Dude, I got a lot of tables.
Errata:
1. “LET it be Lowenbrau”
2. “Genesee CREAM Ale”
I guess it is a bit of personal bias, but I did not read the books until after having seen the first two movies. So in some ways the magic of the fist book was lost on me since I new everything that was going to happen. The Third Book was the first one I read where everything was new and surprising.
Did nobody else notice that they got the Big Mac song wrong?
Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame-seed bun!
They got so much wrong. One would think them old and senile.
