The news for the president goes from bad to worse as the pandemic, economic crisis, and sense that the country is on the wrong track are compounded by a scandal in the Justice Department. Can Trump pull out of this tailspin? And, if he can’t, will the progressives who are generally hostile toward Joe Biden perceive his victory as their own?

If Trump loses, the GOP probably gets eroded out of power much like Democrats took reins from the 50s-80s

The Never Trump thought leaders aren’t going to be welcomed back, and most of them will need to continue working against the next generation in order to sate the mob from going after them.

White working class will surrender to government free money, more unionization, and just getting by.

The administrative state will be reinstated to Obama directives: destroying political opposition.

If Trump loses he goes back to Mar-a-Lago and that will be that. One and done. The anger and frustration that delivered him to the White House (much of it justified) will remain but there is no Trump II waiting in the wings to take advantage. Fortunately for the broad right there is a very impressive generation ready to take charge (Cruz, Crenshaw, Sasse, Ernst, Haley, Scott etc). It won’t be very long into the Biden administration before the breaches, fissures and chasms caused by the Trump disruption will disappear as if by magic, especially if the Democrats take both the House and the Senate.

I remember how Republicans collapsed in 1974 after the watergate scandal.  But they recovered by 1980.  I also remember how in 2009 and 2010, Democrats had the presidency and big majorities in both houses.  But other than Obamacare, they did not get much major legislation passed.  If 2020 is a Republican disaster, there may be recovery.  But if this really is a flight 93 situation, when the Democrats get back in power there may not be a recovery.

right, and mail in ballot harvesting will guarantee a well funded democrat machine total electoral power.  The only hope for working class whites is state and county secession.
