O’Reilly on Ferguson, Sharpton
I’m burning out on the Ferguson coverage, but Bill O’Reilly made some interesting (and heated) points.

I’m curious what the Ricochetti think about Bill’s take. What say you? Keep it pithy if you wish to opine.

I agree completely that hiring and puffing Sharpton shows MSNBC’s true racism. No white person with his history would be put on the air, but at MSNBC they don’t believe black people are capable of measuring up to what they would require of whites. In 1968 Charles Manson was sentenced to death for his role in murdering Sharon Tate and others, he ordered his acolytes to do this in order to cause race riots for his personal profit. -What element of the crime that condemned Manson was Sharpton not guilty of in the Freddie’s Fashion Mart killing?
And also, there’s this, from Deadline Hollywood:
O’Reilly remains a star.
O’Reilly is right about Sharpton in every way. Instead of being on TV, Sharpton should be in jail.
Bill O’Reilly’s justifiable outrage verbalized exactly what I think about Al Sharpton. I continue to be puzzled as to why O’Reilly seems to be a lonely outlier on Sharpton. Sharpton has done more damage to good race relations in America than any other person I can name.
“Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery” – those looters weren’t ‘dishonoring’ Michael Brown’s memory at all.
I’m not a fan of O’Reilly, but on this one he hit a home run: correct, accurate, and measured.
Thanks for this, Jon.
How long will these lies and liars continue to have access to the highest media organs in the country? It’s really disgusting what depths our media has sunk to. This whole media driven firestorm is a depravity and it would change immediately if there were professional media organizations. Fox is the only large media company with standard American values and professional ethics.
The change from 8pm Tuesday (FNC 521, CNN 506) to Wednesday (FNC 615, CNN 346) was amazing.
Significant was the spillover to 9pm where FNC lost Tuesday 530 to CNN’s 601, but won Wednesday 524 to 306.
Wow, one of O’Reilly’s better rants. He’s right on.
I agree with everything he said except that Eric Holder and the DOJ should be there. There is no reason to federalize this case. Holder is nothing but a racial opportunist.
Nothing shames progressives. Not Jeremiah Wright, not Bill Ayres, not Tony Rezko.
Sharpton was a Democrat presidential candidate, for crying out loud. He participated in sanctioned, televised debates. And this was well after Tawana Brawley, Freddie’s Fashion Mart, Crown Heights, his anti-Jewish, anti-Mormon, and anti-gay comments.
I’ll give him credit, though, for his extreme weight loss. Once, in his track suit days, he looked like ten pounds of excrement in a five pound sack. Now the converse is true.
While I agree with O’Reilly’s opinions, I am pretty tired of 24/7 opinions about this situation. It would be nice if one of the 2,000 reporters devoting themselves full time to this story could tell us a few (publicly available) facts. Like whether Brown had a criminal record. Like whether there have been any previous police shootings in Ferguson. Like whether there is a gang situation in Ferguson, and whether Brown had gang tattoos. Like the structure of the oversight in this police department (e.g., is there a police commissioner; is he elected or appointed; and if appointed, by whom?). Like whether there have been any reported attacks on police officers.
But, nah. Easier to point a camera at the protesters, rioters and looters, and bloviate.
Liberals in us and europe are making fun of fox’s objectivity, I wonder has anyone made reaseach about which channel is most biased?
