Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 50 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
We’re Number One
Have I mentioned how much I love and respect the editorial team — and the flawless judgment — of the Newsmax organization? Well, let me do it right now. And this, of course, has nothing to do with it:
Below is Newsmax’s list of the top 50 conservative podcasts: 1. Ricochet.com — Ricochet.com, a center-right discussion site where the audience is encouraged to “join the conversation,” produces more than a dozen shows native to the podcast format and available exclusively online. Hosted by commentators from leading conservative outlets, Ricochet’s shows offer commentary on politics and a variety of related subjects like entertainment, religion, history, and more.
And then there’s a list of the also-rans, but as President Trump would say: Winning Isn’t Everything, It’s The Only Thing.
I like this wording, too, for the GLOP Podcast:
GLoP Culture — Jonah Goldberg of National Review, John Podhoretz of Commentary Magazine, and Rob Long of Ricochet humorously converse about everything from movies to elections
The phrase “humorously converse” kind of takes the “humorous” out of any possible “converse,” don’t you think?
Still: grateful to be recognized by my new favorite news outlet!

This is HUUUGE!
That’s yuuuuuuge.
Congrats! You deserve it.
Isn’t Newsmax the organization that puts out all the crazy right wing crazy stories?
I guess Rob’s not that much of a RINO after all.
That ranking was a 10,000 to 1 shot, Rob. 10,000 to 1.
Dang it Rob, you must have listened to Three Martini Lunch a minute before I did!
Well deserved.
Awesome, Rob!
I joined last month, and this month NewsMax ranks Ricochet #1.
Coincidence? I think not.
You mean second favorite, Right?
I’m pretty sure “humorously converse” means we’re laughing at you and not with you.
On the other hand, “humorlessly converse” would probably lead to some funny conversations. Like when Aunt Mabel and Aunt Dixie talk about that frump at the library desk.

Congratulations, fellas. That’s some earned success.
Congrats. It’s a great podcast. Thank Heavens Lileks is there to carry the rest of you.
Just pray Newsmax doesn’t come and try to use the site. <evil laugh>
Ricochet is only number one because Donald Trump doesn’t have his own podcast.
Yet.
I have a serious addiction to podcasts and you’re my favorite connection Rob.
I am not a podcast guy, but Congratulations to the Ricochet team that make them happen.
Wonderful news for a gray afternoon here in Orygun!
Can anybody tell me what center-right means?
It is time to do a podcast with Trump so that page views go into the tens of millions.
Speaking of GLOP, are you guys on vacation?
Working on that.
Next week.
How many tons of ice will it take to keep the servers packed in ice so a black hole isn’t created ending the known universe?
Congratulations especially to Yeti who makes it all happen.
I have it on good authority that the Flagship Podcast is, at most, the #2 podcast on Ricochet.
Although, if they included us, I can imagine the review:
“Ricochet.com also indulges a few of its lesser-known members in an off-the-cuff format where discussions range from abortion to Bob Costas. This podcast serves as a decent metric for how much of Ricochet’s political theorizing is actually sinking in among moderately perceptive laypeople.”
I know that podcast! I love that podcast! Woot!
Congrats. I’ve been listening since Volume 1, Number 1, and it’s been a joy.
Almost true! We could use more Thomas Sowell.
How did you guys beat Adam Corolla?
[edit]
I wrote the above before following the link to see Corolla on the list.
I also noted this:
“We have also given some editorial preference to new and emerging names in order to make the list a place of discovery”
