No Jews Speech
The US State Department condemned this speech. The message from State was that “it is wrong to say we support ethnic cleansing when what we really want is just to see all of the Jews eliminated from the region . . . one way or another.”**
** May not be an exact quote, but it expresses the same sentiment.

This is the start of the Sabbath so not many of our Jewish members will see this tonight. Editors: Please repost this tomorrow evening after the Sabbath. Otherwise it might get lost below the page.
I wish we had a leader of his fortitude.
Remember Obama is both anti-American AND anti-Israeli and neutral about Christians and pro-Muslim, especially Iran. No surprises here.
One thing seems likely: the reason he chose Iran as the country to give the most assistance to is because they are the most up front about their anti-Americanism. I don’t know enough about him to be able to figure out how he views the Shiites vs. the Sunnis but it must not matter to him. He probably sees himself as modern and progressive to ignore that major divide of the Muslim history.
He also seems to genuinely like the Castros and probably because they are anti-American, too. This is the lowest level America will probably ever get in picking a president. I truly don’t believe even the Clintons are as bad as Obama.
Yes. Editors kindly oblige the lady. Thank you.
There you go again, making sense. What were you thinking, Prime Minister?
Vance R. Thanks for this little gem of truth and civility.
Hurrah!
I heart Bibi.
I still relish our Islamist usurper throwing a tantrum after Bibi schooled him live.
“I just did.”
Amen! Excellent video, Mr. Prime Minister. Clear speaking, clear thinking.
To add some more context to Benjamin Netanyahu’s remarks everyone should read this article from the Hill; Lone Wolf at the UN.
How more damage is President Obama capable of before he leaves the White House? Quite a bit more actually.
This is an example of how the Leader of the Free World addresses the world.
Mr. McKee, I see you are a new Member. Welcome! I hope you don’t find me creepy because I just started “following” you, but I think I’d like to hear more of what you have to say.
I appreciate that.
I read this story earlier this week. Yasser Arafat lives on:
Brilliant. It is time to call things what they truly are.
Sometimes I get so discouraged, Vance–and then I see this courageous video by Netanyahu. Actually criticism from the US administration is high praise to the rest of us. Go Bibi!!
Masterful performance, according to Gideon Levy:
Turning Israeli settlers into victims is the prime minister’s most staggering act of chutzpah yet. The only mass ethnic cleansing that took place here was in 1948, when some 700,000 Arabs were forced to leave their lands.
Your knowledge of history is lacking if you believe this. Nobody forced the Arabs to leave. Have you no shame! You are deliberately forgetting the 7 Arab armies surrounding Israel waiting to pounce, and when they did they got knocked on their asses. So those Arabs that left by choice and at the urging of their Arab leaders suffer because Israel refused to die. G-d bless them. You are also forgetting the 900,000 Jews that were expelled from Arab lands that the new State of Israel had to absorb. You don’t hear them whining. How about the 8 or 9,000 Jews removed from Gaza and the West Bank. Know what the Arabs did with those homes? They trashed them, including a beautiful greenhouse. You need to read a history book that wasn’t written by an Muslim Arab.
Edit to correct, only 5 Arab armies not 7. In 1967 they were poised to strike again and drive the Jews into the sea. They won back territory and the Arabs lost, so get over it.
A little dated, but from Does God Demand the Ethnic Cleansing of the Palestinians:
This is what it means to tell SJRs to stop with the political correctness BS. This is a leader with gravitas, integrity, honor, and intelligence. Compare him to the present President and the two aspiring to that post and ask yourself if it is so wrong to simply be unwilling to vote for either.
Hey Zafar, nothing happen without allah’s blessing, right? That is what your koran teaches. So if you believe that Gaza is being ethically cleansed, then it is because allah wills it. Am I mistaken about that?
So we’re going to go from debating the perfidy of Trump back to the minor leagues and try to settle the Arab-Israeli issue. I’m game for the change. I do think Zafar would be correct to point out that Mr. Netanyahu conveniently leaves out the fact that these “illegal” Jewish settlements were built in contravention of UN resolutions and with embezzled US foreign aid explicitly prohibited for the way those funds were used. I think what he fails to acknowledge is that the moral bankruptcy of the Arab and Palestinian response through their support of terror has forfeited any claim to compassion or redress. My family’s name is of German origin; my family came to America many generations ago from East Prussia. There is no such thing as East Prussia today, just as there is no Palestine. The German’s had many valid, sincere complaints about their treatment by the Versailles Treaty, but by turning to Nazism they forfeit all rights to complain. I think the Palestinian cause is in the same situation.
Let’s do it!! Start with small challenges and work our way up, I say.
But the people of a State which was founded by ethnic cleansing still (imho properly, because human beings) have that claim? Do you intend to apply this measure consistently?
Some salient differences:
Germany invaded its neighbours. Palestinians were the ones who were invaded in the first place.
Prussians, at the end of WWII, were citizens of Germany and if they could make it to Germany they had a right to live there and enjoy whatever civil and political freedoms and equality were available. Palestinians in 1947-48 were not citizens of another country, they had no place to go by right. Prussians were not made stateless.
Prussia was land forfeited as part of a peace treaty rather than taken lawlessly.
There is no “palestine”, there are no “palestinians”. Israel has always been Israel. The Israelis gave up Sinai for peace with the Egyptians, they gave up the West Bank and Gaza for peace with nobody. Jews are allowed nowhere in the Middle East except Israel, their homeland for thousands of years. They will be there for thousands of years to come. The nomads that no other Arabs want will have to figure that out some day. Until then they can rot in the hate they create.
It’s really simple. If the Palestinians want to end the siege they only have to do one thing.
Stop killing Jews.
Is that really too much to ask?
Really?
Yes!
Zafar, could you maybe articulate what your own particular vision for middle east peace is?
One state? two state? Israel allowed to exist? Jews allowed to live in Israel? Jews and Muslims allowed to co-exist in the same space?
What could Israel do to get your satisfaction?
Where would the boundaries be drawn? who gets what?
Alot of people who otherwise want to mind their own business die because elites with a romanticism for lost glories attempt to “correct” history. It happens time and again.
I could similarly stomp up and down and demand the Turks vacate Constantinople, a city they stole from Christians and whose memory they buried under rape, destruction and forced conversions.
Good to see you back on Ricochet, Zafar. Gotta go to bed shortly but I’ll bite, for a while at least.
But the people of a State which was founded by ethnic cleansing still (imho properly, because human beings) have that claim? Do you intend to apply this measure consistently?
Many would dispute your claim, but let’s work with it, arguendo. Can you point out to me any state that was founded without sin? Gazan’s now have a self-governing territory. Recent polling of West Bank Arabs show a surprising number admit to preferring some kind of confederation with Jordan rather than being ruled by the feckless kleptocrats of the PLO. Like someone in jail for contempt of court, they hold the key in their own hands and could be let out by their own volition.
Some salient differences:
Germany invaded its neighbours. Palestinians were the ones who were invaded in the first place.
I heard something about five Arab armies being involved with the Jews that begged to live in peace, but if we accept your interpretation, what about all the Jews driven from Alexandria and Damascus and the rest of the Arab world? Can’t we say their claims should counterbalance the scales?
