The Americans have decided that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is not a viable peace partner for Israel after all.
Well, as long as we got that cleared up.

Judith,
I would rely more on your Iron Dome, than Mr Obama, if I were you.

But...but... Hillary Clinton said last month that,"Assad is a reformer"!

Re: You Don't Say
But having said that Syria isn't a viable partner for peace with Israel (No--say it's not so. I thought Syria was going to be the "bearer of peace"), the State Department spokesman really brought down the hammer:
"At the same time, he said that the US continues to believe it is important to engage with Syria in order to clearly communicate the US position on the actions Syria is taking in putting down opposition protests.
Sullivan said at this point there are no plans to withdraw the newly installed US Ambassador to Syria Robert Ford or otherwise cut off contacts"
I love it when our State Department gets really tough with a rogue country. Sickening.

Left loves Hezbollah; Hezbollah loves Assad; Hezbollah and Assad love Ahmadinejad; Left, Hezbollah, Assad and Ahmadinejad hate Israel; Left loves womens' rights, gay rights, sexual freedom etc, etc. They really really must hate Israel.
