Remember Velma Hart?  She's the lady who took Barack Obama to task at a CNBC Town Hall event as she cited her exhaustion waiting for the "change" that he'd thus far failed to deliver.

Quite frankly, I'm exhausted -- exhausted from defending you, defending your administration, defending the man for change I voted for and deeply disappointed with where we are right now...My husband and I joked for years that we thought we were beyond the hot dog and beans era of our lives, but quite frankly it's starting to knock on our door and ring true that that might be where we're headed again.  Mr. President, I need you to answer this honestly:  Is this my new reality?

Answer?  Yes.  Just two months after confronting Obama, Ms. Hart has lost her job as chief financial officer of a veterans group.  Ms. Hart and millions like her may be ripe for change of a different variety come 2012.

She may still support him given her reasons for voting for him. What bothers me is when people say they have faith in the President and look to him for their well-being. It seems a sign of failure of our system because the great thing about the U.S. is that we can get along in life without having to pay much attention to whats going on in gov't and politics, especially at the national level. The more Washington is determines our destiny the worse off we all are.

Happy Thanksgiving sucker ! This is the Chicago way. The truth shall set you ??? Kenneth Gladney's brother was fired from his Govt. job the day before Christmas last year . All he did was have a brother who was beaten up by some SEIU purple shirts at a Tea Party function in St Louis . His error ? Being black like Ms Hart. You can't take a flying leap off the narrative without getting hurt . They'll make sure the hurt is delivered . Velma was brave, but the long knives are out in a defensive mode of the seige mentality that must be taking over the WH and their codependents.

I agree with Bereket.  People need stop looking to Obama and the government for change and start trying to change their own situations with the help of their family and local communities.

You get what you asked for, Velma.

I'll repeat my meme regarding LIberals.

Christians should be ashamed in the presense of Liberals.

Jesus admonished Christians to have the faith of a mustard seed.  They regularly fall short.

Liberals demonstrate on a regular basis the faith of an Avacado Pit.  Usually in Government as the sole solution to everything in life.

Hence the continued Faith in Obama.

Velma and her ilk will not be ripe for any different change than they were in 2008.  Because they KNOW that a Republican will make everything so much worse.  They've witnessed what Republicans do with their own eyes.

This is an excellent and truly, "spot on" comment.

I recall Velma's presence but to be honest I don't recall her employment. However, her question was well thought out and I believe representative of the concerns of a larger population than just Obama's voting block. I hope her termination was not a result of her inquiry - in the face of a darker reality. I wish her godspeed on a quick recovery to her new economic reality .... and her misguided faith.
