There's a picture floating around facebook that compares the TEA Party's 900+ days of protest with zero arrests, rapes, or cost to tax payers with the OWS's 40 days of protest with 2500+ arrests, 4 rapes, and $2.4M cost.

The repeated, rather facetious attempts by many to paint these movements as somehow equivalent are of course absurd. They do however have one very significant commonality missing from your chart, an almost complete disenchantment with the two main political parties which nominally represent their respective conservative and liberal view points.
A disturbing poll:
89 percent of Americans say they distrust government to do the right thing
Congressional approval has reached a new low at 9 percent
An overwhelming majority of the electorate does not feel they are being represented by anyone in our government.

This provides perfect clarity on where they diverge, and it also illustrates that outside of recognition that there is a problem, there is no ideological middle ground between the two. They are operating on two diametrically opposed paradigms.

Actually, there is a big error in this graphic.
The "Occupy" crowd does NOT universally believe that the bailouts were wrong.
That particular bullet point belongs firmly on the Tea Party side of the graphic.

Despite an error or two, it's quite demonstrative in any case of how two worldviews quickly diverge.
Sidenote: It's fascinating that the one the MSM love are the ones who have committed violence.

As soon as I heard the media, professors, and classmates comparing Occupy Wall Street to the Tea Party, the first question that came to my mind was why they were so eager and intent to compare the movement to one that they've badmouthed for two years.
They're basically saying "You know that thing that you have that we've called stupid and obnoxious? Well, we now have one too!" It's not even an issue of supporting one group or the other, but that the reasoning is inconsistent.

That is a beautifully executed graphic. It makes the differences simple without dumbing down the issues. I wish I could find a better version of it (with less jpeg artifacts).

I'll buy 0 rapes, but I'll need some pretty firm data on arrests and especially cost. In nearly 1000 days of protests not one person even marginally associated with an event was arrested for any reason? It may be true, but I don't see how the person putting forth this number can be certain. As for "cost" it's just silly to claim a total cost of $0 to host cities. Even the most peaceful, law abiding protest or event will incur some cost to a city - even if it's just extra cops to direct traffic or standby.
The fact that tea parties are more civil then OWS is easily made without unsubstantiated "statistics." All this does is give the left a chance to reframe the issue. Now, John Stewart only needs to find a few lowlifes - ideally racists - who were arrested near a tea party, read their names over some redneck mug shots and - presto! - it no longer matters how many riots occur at OWS, the topic is now tea party liars!
We MUST be impeccable. Is it fair? Nope. Is it reality? Sadly, yes.
