Sorry to be focused on campaign strategy, but Jim Treacher over at The Daily Caller points out the latest bumper sticker from the Democratic Party:
He came up with his own version:
Being a libertarian who generally finds myself opposed to one or both of the parties on most issues, I kind of like where this could go. You want to take it from here, EJ?

Freesmith:Mark Belling Fan andtabula rasa:
If you're explaining, you're losing.
The lesson remains - Attack!
People stop doing things that they enjoy and from which they benefit only when doing those things starts to hurt. Democrats enjoy heaping contempt on our politics and our leaders. They gain with the disinterested middle by creating the perception of their intellectual or moral superiority.
Don't debate. Push back. Hurt them. After all, how do you stop a bully? · 28 minutes ago

Pushing back is important. Explaining is also important when an important and understandable explanation is available, and is required. This is, ridiculously enough, one of the chief reasons people are voting against Romney. It was big in 2008, too. It is absolutely essential that the claim that the dog soiled the car out of terror, rather than out of an excess of stolen turkey meat, is rebutted.

"Say what you will about Romney, but at least he didn't eat the poor S.O.B."
(Kind of long for a bumper sticker.)

Re: Where Negative Campaigns Lead
If I was clever I would combine "blue dog democrat" with a "yellow dog democrat" (would vote for a yellow dog if it was a democrat) but all I can think of is how the obmonitats yellow dog's have eaten all the blue dogs.
