What's Your Favorite Part of This Obama Presser?
Anyone else watching this press conference right now? In a long opening statement before opening it up to questions, I've learned that we need to change entitlements without changing entitlements. We have to make tough choices. And Republicans are to blame for the country's various problems.
Obama attacked "corporate jet owners" only moments before complaining that people in Washington sometime "say a lot of things to satisfy their base."
The questions have started and here I'm learning that Obama really likes blaming Republicans. Will this go over well?

Obama would be a great panelist representing the lefty point of view on a cable news opinion show.
Its like we have Paul Begala as POTUS.

The really rich thing is it proves how incoherent, duplicitous, transparent, and shallow he is. Unfortunately, he represents a huge segment of our population who are equally incoherent, duplicitous, transparent, and shallow. He could be re-elected, and the danger to our nation is immense. He and his minions have perfected the methods whereby - as Alexis deToqueville predicted - "They will vote themselves largesse from the public treasury", thus destroying the Republic. He foresaw this in the 1830's.

There are reasons why politicians have two sides to their mouths.
Re: What's Your Favorite Part of This Obama Presser?
Here are some of my favorite tweets on the corporate jet meme that's spreading (@ByronYork shows how this talking point has spread among Democratic leaders and columnists):
@jimgeraghty: Tomorrow, Obama will fly on Air Force One to Philadelphia, Pa., to denounce tax rates on corporate jets at two DNC fundraisers.
@jpodhoretz: What was the point of having this press conference aside from introducing the corporate-jet-owner trope?

Didn't he appoint the people on the NLRB who are suing Boeing. How come no one calls him on this.

Mexican reporter just quizzed him on Gun-Runner. He tried to pull Holder back with him in his answer, but not very well.

Yes. And two of them are recess appointments.

Good Lord, this car analogy...
I thought Obama was against torture.

My favorite part is that I'm not watching it. Something about his personality and style...
Re: What's Your Favorite Part of This Obama Presser?
One percent growth and we solve the deficit. He just said that, right? I was slightly distracted but I heard that and sort of snapped back. Did he really say that?
Re: What's Your Favorite Part of This Obama Presser?
I loved that response. "This program that was done on Holder's watch wasn't loved by Holder." Uh, okay.

Re: What's Your Favorite Part of This Obama Presser?
My favorite part was when I turned off the radio when I heard Mr. Obama's voice come on.
I know that's not fair to Mr. Obama, that it's irresponsible citizenship to not to pay attention to these things but, I must confess, I really just can't stand the sound of his voice anymore. My bad.

Its pretty amazing. He acts like he is above politics and calls others "selfish". It is pretty offensive.

I have some friends in school in Mexico City who say that this is all any of the students are talking about.

Can anyone point me to the transcript, when it goes up? I really wasn't sure whether I heard that right.

My bad, too. I can't bear listening to him. And I hate that thing he does where he clips the last word in a sentence.

What sort of competent government would announce that they were launching a spy program? The big-government bureaucrats who can't shoot straight?

Re: What's Your Favorite Part of This Obama Presser?
Here are a few of my favorite things:
- We didn’t have a trillion dollar stimulus plan in 2009, because he’s now calling for rebuilding infrastructure. That’s a relief, because it didn’t work last time. I sure hope they are "shovel ready" jobs.
- He quit smoking, because with all of the straw man arguments, he would burst into flames. We must tax corporate jets to fund safe food and college.
- Tax and spend liberalism is on full display. And it sounds old fashioned.
- The stupid Casey Anthony trial circus is off for a little while.
