While playing my new favorite lost Cheap Trick classic on YouTube, I was confronted with this sidebar ad:

Bush? Where's Bush? Better yet, where's Jerry Brown?

When I vote for Meg Whitman, I'll do so with complete confidence that she be able to pass a tax cut through the California legislature, and that she won't want to start a costly foreign war, or pass an unaffordable prescription drug benefit, or bail out failing financial firms.

That is one nonsensical political advertisement.

Maybe Republicans should run ads against Jimmy Carter.

It's the Magna Carta! We wouldn't be in this mess if it weren't for evil King John, who, by the way, bears in several portraits a striking resemblance to Lynn Cheney in drag. Oh, wait a sec, Lynn Cheney doesn't do drag. Anybody out there got a picture or Herbert Hoover, I need to do some research?

Update: here's Jerry!

Now that's an ad. And that URL is worth every penny.
