Somehow I think we were all better off when these kind of things were handled by fathers or brothers rather than the courts.

Re: What Happens in Vegas
I'm torn. I kinda like the idea of liberal lawyers suing the bejeebers out of each other. When they turn on their own they are too busy to bother the rest of us.

Agree. 100%.

From a social conservative values point of view, won't these lawsuits have a strengthening affect on fidelity and decorum?

Normally, I'd say "bad Contributor! Bad!" for an insufficiently explained link. But it was so intriguing had to click.
Illinois is one of those few states (six, I think) that allows Breach of Promise cases. Also Alienation of Affection lawsuits. Never mind how I know that. Just, um, well, look, a squirrel!
Does call for a little Gilbert & Sullivan treatment, though. (Ignore the unnecessary translation, conducted from English to English by way of Afrikaans transcribed by a deaf aborigine).

Rampaging lawyers on parade! I love that part. What a riot. Now if they can both manage to lose and then somehow be disbarred and then put in stocks for public ridicule while wearing funny hats that would be a wonderful conclusion to this matter. Sigh! A guy can dream, can't he?

Both plaintiffs may have a valid claim for wedding costs — Serafin is seeking $62,814.71 while Buttitta has asked for $95,942.11.
From a strictly male point of view, you've got to be soft to spend that kind of money on a wedding. Also, what happened to the recession?

Hell hath no fury, like a female lawyer scorned.
Insufferable DBag, meet scornful harpy.
A match made in heaven, if ever there was one.
