Just in time to commemorate both the one year anniversary of the so-called economic recovery and the President's birthday, the National Republican Senatorial Committee has released this video.

Re: Welcome to the Recovery
Have a commercial with Obama & his revenue talk. Then play a portion of this video.

Totally destroys the revenue language and makes him out to be a tax hiker.

OMG, hadn't seen that in a while. Doesn't make him look like a tax hiker, it makes him look like an idiot. I dare any Obama backer to watch that video and explain how Obama sounds like a person with one iota of intelligence.

Re: Welcome to the Recovery
"Shovel ready was not as, uh, shovel ready as we expected."
And therein lies the stupidity of central planning and government "stimulus"--this always happens. The insular ministers of the state have no clue what's actually going on in the economy.
The people who know how and when money should be allocated are the people with a stake in the outcome--the people who suffer a penalty for carelessness and failure, and who stand to benefit from wise and prudent decisions. In other words, the people whose money is being spent. President Obama is too much of a leftwing big-picture guy with no practical experience to understand this.

It is nice to see some truth in advertising for once. I love to see an ad like that where the authors have cited everything under the claim and feel no compunction about hammering away at the opposition. As #3 said, "...more, more, more!"

Re: Welcome to the Recovery
Well, it's all of a piece, really, unexpectedly falling home construction, unexpectedly higher unemployment, unexpectedly un-shovel ready jobs. Should you expect anything else? Apparently not.

Re: Welcome to the Recovery
This is an excellent ad, and I hope that they manage to get it out on the TV screens soon.
Why can't their campaign commercials ever be as good as their web videos?

There's something about shovels and bullscoot that strikes me about right.
