Welcome Monica Crowley
My introduction of our newest guest contributor may be superfluous, as the chances are quite high that you already know her. Monica Crowley is a Fox News contributor, the host of a nationally syndicated radio talk show (find your local affiliate here), and the author of three best-selling books, including the current hit What the (Bleep) Just Happened? The Happy Warrior's Guide to the Great American Comeback.
If you heard her recent appearance on the Ricochet Podcast, then you know that Monica Crowley is an engaging, dynamic, and effective spokesperson for conservative principles in the age of Obama. What you may not know, however, is the road she took to get here. After graduating from Colgate University, she went on to earn two master's degrees and a Ph.D. in international relations from Columbia University, where she authored a doctoral dissertation on American grand strategy towards China. She subsequently worked as a Foreign Policy Assistant to former President Richard Nixon, a topic she takes up in her first two books.
Needless to say, we're delighted to have her join us. Please welcome Monica Crowley.

Re: Welcome Monica Crowley
Monica's great, but this is getting boring. Can't you find any clueless underachievers to contribute articles? How about Barack Obama?

Re: Welcome Monica Crowley
Great news. Great addition to Ricochet. Highly recommend her book too. Probably speaking to the choir but she shared a lot of things I didn't know, and a little humor interspersed too. Welcome Monica.

Re: Welcome Monica Crowley
Welcome aboard. You are one of the better Fox News contributors. I hope you will stick around.

Re: Welcome Monica Crowley
I don't want to alarm anyone, but I don't receive Fox News here in my penitentiary cell block, and therefore don't know who Monica is outside of Troy's introduction. This morning -- while waiting for community rock breaking and license plate manufacturing -- I snuck in some web surfing on the Amazon site and was told I would like books by Monica Crowley.
Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.

Welcome. I have enjoyed your contributions, and they can only be better here, where everyone can relax a bit. I love Ricochet! You will, too.

Re: Welcome Monica Crowley
We do not get Fox but the podcast was interesting and the books look interesting. I am looking forward to more. Pseudo, hmm, worrying. I have been posting about marriage and The Bechelorette and been getting ads for Canadian Eco diamond rings...

Re: Welcome Monica Crowley
Troy, is this the face that launched a thousand ships?
I'll be in my tent, awaiting her Post, if anyone needs me.

Re: Welcome Monica Crowley
Listened to the podcast and I must admit that so many good ideas in such short time needed some deconstructing in order to list them all !
Wow, the written word will be consumed at a more thoughtful pace.
Very jealous you got to know Nixon, one of history's giants . Fortunately the right man at the right time vis a vis China . Similar to our good fortune in having Reagan around to push USSR into the dustheap, only Nixon saved China .
Welcome to Ricochet , and thanks to Rupert for letting you share your ideas with us here.

Re: Welcome Monica Crowley
I am not a TV guy so this is also my first introduction to Monica.
I have a question about her bio Troy - she worked in the Nixon administration? Really? Just guessing looking at the photo in your post - was she born when Nixon was in office?
Welcome Monica.

Monica - Welcome to Ricochet. Yes, I am the man that photoshopped you into a chicken suit. They made me do it, Monica, they made me do it!

Welcome Monica. ยท 58 minutes ago
The key phrase in that intro is former president. Monica worked for Nixon in the final years of his life.

Re: Welcome Monica Crowley
Added to Monica's resume should be that she is the Sister-in-law to one Alan Colmes - that ought to speak volumes regarding her tolerance for serpent-headed leftists seeking to win the James-Carville-with-hair lookalike contest. A very elite fraternity indeed!

Re: Welcome Monica Crowley
Monica - I heard a podcast a few years ago when you were in London and reported for Westwood One. As an ex-WW1 guy, it put a smile on my face.
(Don't ask me which report, I just heard "Monica Crowley from Westwood One" and was smitten.
Welcome aboard!

Welcome, Monica. You shall be known here as "The Good Crowley", i.e. not Candy.
I look forward to reading some great posts.

Re: Welcome Monica Crowley
Echoes of Jerry, above, when I first heard the announcement of the debate hosts, I said, "Yay"!
And later I discovered there is a very different Crowley, the wrong one for the VP debates, or any others.

Re: Welcome Monica Crowley
Judging by that picture, she must have worked for Nixon when she was 3.
