The stranglehold of the Dartmouth Mafia has finally been broken.

Welcome, Matthew.

Peter Robinson

Yale?  Yale!

Poor Matt.  Before writing his very first word here at Ricochet, he has so very much to live down.

Rob Long

Yale, Peter.  Yes, Yale.  Perhaps you've heard of it?

As I've always said, the only things that come out of the woods of New Hampshire worth mentioning are maple syrup and Mark Steyn.

Welcome, Matthew.

Now, now, Rob.  Tupperware came out of New Hampshire.

But then again, so did David Souter...

Thanks for the kind welcome.

Diane wanted me to add something interesting about myself to my biog: I considered 'Matt is 75% di-hydrogen oxide' (too cutesy) and 'Matt likes cognitive linguistics' (too pretentious).

She, impatient of my indecision, threatened to just make something up about me. So I guess I deserved this vicious invention of my university affiliation.

Just don't go squishy on us like the last Yale alumnus in the White House.

Yale, shmale. I'm much more impressed he finished Marine Corps Officer Candidate School. Sure he's got the academic credentials, but how's his marksmanship? I guess you have to at least be a "pizza box" to graduate! ;)
