Welcome Elizabeth Blackney
Joining us as this week's Guest Contributor is media & communications strategist, blogger, and advocate Elizabeth Blackney. Elizabeth –or Media Lizzy as she is known on Twitter and her blog– has much experience from the Clinton and Bush years focused on international and foreign policy, national security, and the work of NGOs.
Elizabeth is a passionate advocate for the rights and security of women around the globe, which is reflected in her regular postings in The Huffington Post. She's also the author of Sex, Lies, and Politricks, and unabashedly derives pleasure from stirring the pot.
Please join me in welcoming Elizabeth Blackney to Ricochet. We're in for a fun week!

Re: Welcome Elizabeth Blackney
I'd like to hear from women about this: The long-term future belongs to those who have the babies, and unfortunately the women having the most babies are not from cultures advancing high quality of life, and equality, for women. At some point you have to hand your society off the the next generation. That doesn't work so well if you don't have children, or don't have enough children to keep a modern culture of personal freedom dominant. A woman can influence her own generation. But if she doesn't replace herself, and more than that, what then? Each of our lives is just a blink in history. A hundred years from now, Europe will no doubt be Islamic. Lots of little choices add up to a big choice.

I miss the Coffee & Markets food fights with Pej! Bring that format back. It was McLaughlin Group 3.0 ;-)
