Looking for a little diversion from the stifling heat and humidity this weekend? We recommend relaxing with a few of Ricochet's podcasts. They're simply the coolest way to stay cool. We've got a great selection of audio ice cubes fresh from the freezer. So climb into the hammock, slip on those ear buds, and relax to the dulcet tones of our hosts and guests. Some suggestions:

The Young Guns -- They're young, they're here, and they often drink beer, usually when recording this show. Troy Senik, Meghan Clyne, Keith Urbahn, and Diane Ellis give their thoughtful perspectives on the issues of the day when they are not busy texting, Tweeting, Facebooking or whatever is that they do. Hey you kids, get off our lawn!

Law Talk with Epstein and Yoo -- Where else but Ricochet could you spend a billable hour with two world class lawyers for the price of a grande latte? This week, the professors debate the legality of a balanced budget amendment, deconstruct cell phone tracking, and do diligence on the Patriot Act. But all that is a wind up to a very spirited debate on perhaps the most important legal question of our times: the use of instant replay in Major League Baseball. Who's for it and who's against it? You'll have to listen to find out. (Members only, join today!)

The Ricochet Podcast -- This week on the Big Show, a rare triple guester. We're joined by National Review's Andrew Stuttaford for a Brit's eye view of the London riots, Bill McGurn deconstructs his op-ed in the Tuesday's Wall Street Journal, and economist John B. Taylor gives a sobering view on the economy. What's that you say? You want Lileks to do a dramatic reading too? OK, you got it.

The View From The Cab -- Like Johnny Cash, Dave Carter has been everywhere. Luckily for us, he takes his recording device with him too. A couple of weeks ago, he went to a Ricochet meet-up in Greenville, South Carolina and captured some of the event for posterity. He's our version of Charles Kuralt (a reference the Young Guns won't understand) if Charles Kuralt had been a super cool, big rig driving, retired military, he-man. Scratch that. He's not our Kuralt, he's our Captain America.

Ah yes, Dr. Erskine's other well known breakthrough. The super-trucker serum.

That would be "due" diligence, Blue.

Don't forget the Paul Ryan podcast with Marco Rubio, which was kinda fun, especially when they got into real issues of national importance, such as football.  Please pass along to the congressman some tips on how to adjust the levels, so that he may actually be audible!
