Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, the DNC chair, has had a troubled history describing the Obama economy.  First she said that it was in great shape just a week ago on Meet the Press:

DWS: "Because we were able to, under President Obama's leadership, turn this economy around. When President Obama took office -- "

DG: "Whoa, whoa, let me just stop you there. Clearly, the economy has not been turned around. I mean, you just saw those numbers."

DWS: "It, it certainly'"it has -- "

DG: "Americans don't believe that's the case."

DG is David Gregory.  DWS is the currently delusional DNC Chair Wasserman-Schultz.

Now, apparently, moments ago, she agreed that the economy is Obama's and Obama's alone to answer for:

Well, that's a relief.

Debbie Wasserman-Schultz probably pays extra for "vintage car tires" that are already "broken in." Salesmen must see her coming a hundred yards away.

It would be a relief if she didn't mean it "literally" and only "politically."  With all the new regulations and crony capitalism, the Democrats do literally own the economy.  What they don't own is political responsibility for the economy's poor performance.

"We Own the Economy"

Well, that explains a lot.

So, now we have a weiner and a boob. Too bad this owner is missing a brain.

I think she means that the federal government, the Democrat party, and the 'progressives' literally own the economy, the people, and our futures.

My concern precisely. Watch out when socialist-inspired Democrats express that they "own the economy". We would be much better off if they disowned it in as many ways possible so it could thrive once more.

I was always a little annoyed when Michael Steele would speak "on behalf" of the entire Republican Party, and then he'd occasionally say things for which there was absolutely no consensus. The media use the chairperson of the party as if they were the national spokesman, and can speak for the party. Meaning, everyone in the party is obligated to support what she says. Therefore, it seems to me that the national chairperson should be very careful about what to say.

DWS, on the other hand, doesn't appear to have the ability to edit. Her whole conversation is an ongoing stream of attack.

I wonder if Obama is using the strategy of putting her out there, letting her ramble like a train wreck, so that he can seem centrist by comparison. She's happily allowing herself to be used.

Wow.  She owns the economy and a late model Infiniti.  That's a pretty good year.

Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, the DNC chair: “Yeah, we own the economy.” It’s only fair, Debbie. You broke it; you own it.
