Warm, Fuzzy, Feel-Good Animal Stories

Every now and again, I get tired and depressed from reading political news stories. So when the thought of forcing myself through my Politico, The Hill, and Daily Caller RSS feeds seems unbearable, I take a little break to look at what's going on in the animal kingdom. Stories about animals -- I especially like the warm, fuzzy, feel-good stories -- provide a much needed respite from the drivel emanating from Washington. Here are a few good ones I've come across today:

The skeptic in me says those Ligers will turn on the dog and eat it the moment they get big.....

I LOVE tornado dog!! And Miracle Poodle!!! They should have named her Shirataki.
I always worry a little when I see these Asian zoos with orphaned tigers though.. I don't trust them with tigers, ligers, or any other magical potion ingredient.

I live right in the middle of the tedious political scene here in DC, and after a while you just tune it out and make an occasional 'weekend visit'. It just becomes noise level after a while. And I do like feelgood stories such as these.

Why would anyone do this? Yah, sure, the cubs are cute and little now, but I'd bet you'd rather a 500lb lion sitting on you than a 800lb liger.
