There is something I never understood : If Rich people have waterfront properties, isn't trying to stop Global Warming sea level rise a bailout of the Rich ?

Maybe Al Gore should clear this up.

Since Michael Moore is part of the 99% (just ask him), this is thrilling evidence of just how well off we all must be!

Ricochet needs a movement where we occupy mansions of limosine liberals who support the OWS movement.  I could see myself occupying that mansion.  I'm sure the fridge is full.  I don't see solar panals on that mansion.  That's a large carbon footprint.

I've thought about doing something like that.  Sadly, I can't really spare the time since, you know, I have a job and all.

Nice to see the profits of fashionable hatred of American and Western capitalism can be converted into a large and comfortable living area for Mr Moore. Imagine the kitchen in that baby... First against the wall when the OWS comes? Well not too much to worry about there, that would require focus and accountability from the OWS whingers.

Hey, let's not judge too harshly.  Moore is economizing here.  After all, this house is in Michigan!  What with the economic conditions in Michigan after decades of Democrat governance, $2 million buys a whole lot more house than, say, in Malibu or Martha's Vineyard.  Besides, it sounds like his house is mid-range on this lake, where home values range up to $3 million.  No wonder he says he's part of the 99%.

Being a Midwesterner myself, I try to imagine myself hanging out with Mike on that dock, drinking cold beer on a hot August day, swatting away the mosquitoes, and listening to the buzz of cicadas.  What would the conversation be?  I just can't picture it.  Does Michael Moore have any friends?

I'd wish I could say that's personally a moot point, since I'm a Canuckistani, eh?

Sadly, since the US is our #1 exports customer, a second Obama term does indeed hurt the Canuckistani economy.

(Example: The Conservatives in Ottawa almost certainly would not have bailed out GM/Chrysler if Washington hadn't done it first. If car companies got free cash from Obama but none from Harper they would have closed up shop in Ontario. Gotta dance with the one what brung ye. Sigh.)

Believe you me, Canuckistani business misses Dubya (and Clinton too, since he was pretty strong on free trade).

There's few things more aggravating than having a rustic little cottage (or "cabin" to you Yankees) on some secluded lake, and having your view ruined by some multi-million dollar monstrosity. Luckily the lake in Quebec where I have a run-down little shack hasn't been invaded by the Moores of the world ... yet.

Fat chance (pun intended).

Moore would have no problem securing a position with the post-revolution politburo .

Re: carbon footprint - I think he's okay, I'm pretty sure that white frame on the right side of the picture is for hanging laundry.

As Mr. Moore said recently on some television show when asked about his wealth: "I do very well for a documentary filmaker." I should say so.

He's rich, by my definition. Good for him! Not a dollar of the money he's earned came from me.
