I guess I'm okay with France leading the world. At least they're willing

PARIS: France called for a U.N. Security Council meeting on Syria on Tuesday, seeking a U.N. condemnation of attacks this week on U.S. and French embassies in Damascus.

Washington has also pushed for the meeting ...

Come on Claire. Can't you see this for what it is? America leading from behind!

I'm not sure calling for a security council meeting, or anything at the UN qualifies as leadership.

Tobin thinks we need to do a bit more than threaten a lawsuit. Maybe we could sell them some tanks.

Point being Claire, is how do you really feel about what appears to be naivete bordering on the collaborative ? The hidden hand of Samantha Power as it holds the hand of her Quds boyfriend in the darkened theater, as they watch the curtain waiting to open with a newly empowered nuclear Iran. The Ikhwan trading one of their daughters to marry a Jewish congressman ( what a deal she got !) as a dowry to State. The president dithering endlessly as the world burns.

Obviously things are upside down, the proof is in your post. France ?

"Washington has pushed for a meeting . . . ." Great to see America finally show some backbone--nothing like a good meeting.

What about pulling our ambassador?  Who should never have been sent in the first place.

Good to see someone semi-stand up to Syria.  I'm still going for the US over France in semi-finals though.

May we could send them some bombs, delivered by F-18.

France will always be one war behind.....I guess this move makes the US two diplomatic moves behind which seems par for this admin.

Foxman, I second that emotion. But about 100 miles from my house is Whiteman AFB, they can make that delivery without even stopping the plane with one of these.

Now that might trump the handslap from our oldest enemy.

In unrelated news, the French Assembly just voted 482 to 27 to prolong the engagement in Libya. Details in French on Figaro.
