Victor Davis Hanson on The RJ Moeller Show
And the hits just keep on coming...
Thanks in large part to Rob Long and Adam Carolla's appearances on my podcast, I've been able to book some pretty amazing guests for August and September. Upcoming conversations include: Arthur Brooks, Walter E. Williams, and Andrew Breitbart. I'm laughing to myself as I even type those names.
But to the point: Professor Victor Davis Hanson was kind enough to share some of his profound knowledge, insight, and wisdom with me earlier this week and I wanted to, in turn, share it with you.
A professor of the classics for more than two decades in the California State University system, Dr. Hanson is a columnist at National Review, a senior fellow of military history at Stanford's Hoover Institution, the author of more than a dozen books,and, of course, a Ricochet contributor!
VDH, as he's affectionately known in conservative circles, graciously lent us a 1/2 hour of his time and we covered everything from his monthly lunches with Dr. Thomas Sowell to his Swedish ancestry to the current state of American higher education.

I can't get enough of VDH. He has spurred me to read Greek history and also info about the Pacific theater in WWII. Thank you!

Victor is kind of like a modern day Cincinnatus. Except rather than being a general who fights wars and returns to his plowing, he is a teacher who after teaching returns home to prune his vines.

I read everything by VDH that I can. Had I had him as a professor in my school days, I might have become educated.
