Coming soon to a theater near me.

You know, I don't know why I was complaining about the YouTube ban. I was happier not knowing.

The filmmakers had a ten million dollar budget to make this pornographic trash. Okan and I tried to raise $18,000 to make a serious documentary about the same events. No one thought it worth funding.

We're still willing, if someone thinks it might be worthwhile to have another perspective out there. If not, Civilization, don't come back to us later and say we didn't try to tell you.

The trailer looks scary good. I wonder if Gary Busey is back for the sequel?

There are times in human history when tensions between two diametrically opposed and mutually exclusive world views build to the break point, and the massive forces trying to tamp down and paper-over the tensions - which just worsens the inevitable conflict - run out of energy.

It's much like the physics of plate tectonics and earthquakes. The longer it builds, the greater the release.

Here we are. A lot of blood will have to be spilled, until the numbers of one side or the other that carry this ancient grudge are reduced dramatically, and the truth wills out.

It's not like this hasn't been prophesied for three-thousand years.

This is major disappointment. Where are Gary Busey and Billy Zane ?

Have they made dubbed copies of the great American contributions to the falsehood genre ? i.e. Valley of Elah, Rendition, Redacted, War,Inc., Lions for Lambs, and the rest all deserve the Turkish audience that awaits them . Do they have multiplexes in Gaza, or are the buildings being used for missile storage ?

Two palestinian mothers were doing the wash one day ,talking about their children. "ah, they blow up so quickly" one said wistfully.

Maybe the additional $150 million we sent the other day will ease some poor PA leaders stress as he reopens his pied-a-terre in the 16th arrondisement for the holiday season. I am sure his kids look forward to the lights at Galeries Lafayette.

That is just sickening.

At least we can take heart that no American actors are actually in this one. Zane and Busey should be ashamed of themselves for that.

There aren't any others, are there?

Sending cash to the PA is not necessarily a bad thing- if it is managed by and goes to support Salam Fayed's work on the civil infrastructure and building businesses (all of which are coordinated with and supported by Israel, BTW), it is a good thing. The money helps to counter the money Hamas spends in Gaza trying to rip everything down.

But the real problem on the Right is less that the big bucks people don't exist than that they are not interested in the creative arts as "propaganda" (i.e., truth squad media outreach) tools. People on the Right like Philip Anschutz are often religious, and thus feel called to spend their money on more "eternal" ventures than pure political work.

Until someone starts a good quality studio dedicated to promulgating Western values and truth dissemination, we will lose culture and media wars. There are talented filmmakers on our side who need capital to do the job. As I said in another Ricochet post a few weeks back, start the fund, I'll invest from my meager holdings.

Duane, I imagine you know of Suha Arafat and her story. Yasser stole hundreds of millions from these intl contributions. If no one in the PA learned those smarmy lessons, then good. But what are the odds of that ?One of the problems with the Palestinians is that as a people, they're much more useful to Israel's enemies as being perceived to live in an oppressive poverty, so like a reverse Potemkin village their towns are destroyed from within . Witness the infrastructure that was left in Gaza, fully operative manufacturing facilities and agricultural operations. They were destroyed in how many weeks ?

Sorry, I am convinced of their implacable victimhood and thriving death cult.

Of course I know Sufa Arafat, which is why I specifically said that the money should be managed by Salam Fayed, the US-trained economist who is cleaning up corruption on the West Bank. If there was someone like him in Afghanistan, everyone would be dancing jigs. He's not perfect, no ME politician is- but he does have integrity and the right idea for the West Bank.

Well we should do what we can to empower him. How does our State Dept view him ?
