"I had just the same opportunities that Michael Jordan had..".

Sowell always knocks it out of the park, and nobody sparks up an intelligent conversation quite like Mr. Robinson.

This is the man who eventually won me over. It´s funny how much my life has improved just by reading his work, not only on a personal but also on a professional level. I am forever grateful.

I love Dr. Sowell.

By the way, I have if not the exact same tie, one that looks almost exactly like it from a distance, as the one Dr. Sowell is wearing in this video.

OK, back to the subject-- yes, intellectuals have nearly always presumed to know more than they actually do.  The common cliché is correct: A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

Peter,

Why did you insist on torturing poor Dr. Sowell by making him watch movie clips of that bad man?

Intellectuals have poisoned public opinion. Let's see, is there any way we can connect this to SSM? Why, yes, I believe we can! Advocates of maintaining the definition of traditional marriage are now bigots and homophobes.

There's a surge of social pressure and part of it is coming from the right. How will social conservatives withstand it over time? We have to fight back. We have to persuade people that SSM is less about "marriage equality" and more about coercing the public to adopt leftist values. SSM won't end with widespread acceptance of homosexual couples. It will end with preachers, priests, and lay people in jail for teaching from Mt. 19 about what marriage is

God bless Thomas Sowell -- an intellectual and moral treasure of a man.

It's impossible to watch Sowell -- especially when he's on with Peter -- and not notice that the man positively glows with brilliance.

Dr. Sowell and Peter Robinson could take turns reading names and numbers from a phone book and it would be must-see TV.

Another great interview.  Thanks.

John Maynard Smith said something like "The problem is there are many people who are highly trained in one subject who think they know a lot about everything".
