Another fascinating interview. One of the more profound statements, to my mind, was the fear communist regimes have of undertaking reform because they do not want "another Gorbachev." That is a startling admission they make about the inability of their system to withstand the scrutiny necessary in reform.

What a classy lady, and such a contrast with our present Secretary of State and National Security adviser (can't even remember who the latter is at the moment).

What an admirable figure Dr. Rice is, and how admirably she served her country.
"Freedom is the inalienable right of every man, woman and child." Put me down for that.
