One of the most extraordinary features of this video is how similar his arguments are to those made in his speech this week to Congress.  What is so sad is the implication of how little has been accomplished.

Interesting to see Fouad Ajami go after Bibi. I'd also point out that Netanyahu has obviously made a dramatic change in his position with regard to a two state solution.

Fascinating!  I listened to him on Hannity and came away thinking that, finally, I had heard a real statesman.  He embodies all of the qualities I'd like to see in a candidate for our own Presidency.

Diane Ellis, Ed.

Wow. He was 28 years old there!

Very persuasive argument that persists even now.

I love this guy.  I wish I could see a US presidential candidate with Bibi's unique mix of eloquence backed up by steadfast conviction and deep experience.

Who comes closest to the Israeli PM amongst the various Republicans running?

Let's see: combat experience, MIT degree, former ambassador to the UN, he's been Finance Minister (basically Israel's Paul Ryan) ...

Isn't this what we hoped John McCain would be?

I'm a Ryan supporter and want him to run, but he doesn't hold quite the same credentials.

I don't think anyone would describe Netanyahu's political style as "maverick."

That bit was only referencing the Finance Minister experience.  I agree with you.

Max Impossible analogy to divine with Israel being Bibi's crucible First , find a man who fought for his country , his brother immortalized at Entebbe, and in country born in fire less than four score ago . Like looking back at the USA , circa 1840

This was the first time I encountered Bibi's "Ben Nitay" alias. I looked it up. This is what the Jerusalem Post said about it:

Netanyahu applied to have his name changed to "Ben Nitay" in the 1970s while living in America. His historian father, Benzion, occasionally wrote using the alias "Nitay," and Binyamin Netanyahu adopted the name because Americans found it easier to pronounce. During a heated leadership debate with Shimon Peres in the run-up to the 1996 election, Netanyahu was asked whether his application to change his name meant he had wished to stay in America. "Not for a single moment," Netanyahu replied. "I come from a Jewish, Zionist family, with roots here for 100 years."

Although I bet he'd like to stay in America now. Never in his wildest dreams would he get a reception here like the one he just got in Washington.

Frivolous, off-topic, completely self-indulgent observation:

28-year-old Bibi = H O T T I E.

You may now return to your substantive discussion of leadership and Middle East policy.

That's the manliest 28-year-old M.I.T. student I could ever possibly imagine.

I feel so wussy now.

Well, we'd sure love to have him! The invitation goes out to Daniel Hannan as well.
