UPDATE: JD Hayworth Won't Become National Tea Party Spokesman

This past weekend, we were bemused by the story from The Hill that claimed that JD Hayworth was about to be announced as the spokesman for the Tea Party. Turns out the story was more fiction than fact. In an interview with the Daily Caller, JD Hayworth called the story "highly inaccurate":
“While there may be somethings that develop over the not-so-distant future, it would not–let me repeat–it would not be anything as presumptuous as THE national spokesman for THE Tea Party,” [Hayworth] said.
My best guess? That Hayworth is joining up with the Tea Party Express folks in some capacity.
