I may not be the first to wish Ricochet a Happy New Year (or maybe I will be, we'll see what condition I'm in when I get back tonight), but let me be the first to wish you all a happy end of 2011!

It's the year I discovered Ricochet, but, that said, it was really rather appalling. So I wish everyone a healthy, happy and fulfilling year in 2012 (which I say 'twenty-twelve'!).
PS It will help if you can come up with a better candidate :-)

My father and brother died in '09; my daughter also had a preemie in '09--100 days in hospital but all is OK. I had significant surgery (great result) in '11 and my mother died in '11.
And of course our whole world changed in 2001.
Could we just have even-numbered years from now on?

Got news for you folks- we're gonna have Obama all year. And if it looks like they are going to lose, the whirlwind of activity will be frenetic and very scary. They will be carving stuff in stone on the way out and it will be alot of work to remove the stain of their progressivist destruction.
So we have alot of work to do, roll up your sleeves and let's get started.
