I was just thinking of this!  Boring, authentic, bold, well-informed, well-suited for the job....the anti-Obama...

My first impression is to say "who" but I've little choice but to check him out and give him a chance given how Daniels dropped out and Pawlenty seems to think we should spend another ten years enriching Hamid Karzai's brother.

He's worth voting for.  And I mean that in the "I voted for X" sense instead of the "at least X isn't Y" manner that McCain got votes in 2008, or that Romney might get in 2012.

He's not a fan of free trade and sucks up to the unions a little too much, but he--like the bowl of Cornflakes I had for breakfast-- is better than Obama.

Wow, he supported card check AND the Detroit bailouts? I guess my openness to him lasted a whopping hour and twenty minutes.

Thank you for your time congressman, on your way out could you please send in the next primary candidate?

Man, I'm glad I didn't kiss him on the first date.

I'm inclined to cut McCotter a little slack for supporting the GM bailout and unions, given the district he represents (as outlined in the American Spectator article).  But I'll want to see him drop it from a national campaign.

It's certainly a smaller problem than Romney's health care issues.  There are few Republican candidates right now with 100% ideologically pure records, and I'd rather have a GM-sized compromise to worry about than an Obamacare-sized one.

I'll stay with Michele, unless Sarah or Rick decide to run.

Thad has a good future on Fox News.

He's an impressive and ethical individual, but unfortunately, represents one of the bluest of the blue districts in a very blue state. Alas,I fear he is not material for a national candidacy...
