touring-ufo-museum-opens-in-istanbul-2011-04-06_l

Wow, do you all want me to personally investigate this story for Ricochet?

A touring UFO museum designed by the Sirius UFO Space Sciences Research Center opened Tuesday at Forum Istanbul Shopping Mall. The group said it hopes the documents and evidence contained in the exhibit would convince skeptics of the veracity of claims that aliens walk among us.

I wish it were easier to get to that particular shopping mall. It's in Istanbul, yes, but way on the other end of it. Given the traffic situation it's probably simpler for the aliens to visit me from OGLE-2005-BLG-390Lb than for me to visit the aliens at that mall.

Sorry about the traffic, but yes, Claire, it is your responsibility as a serious journalist to visit the museum for us. You might take along a couple of cats to translate for the aliens.

Claire Berlinski, Ed.

I want to see this exhibit so much. THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE. I mean, what would you rather have, Ricochet, more comment on the Ryan Budget and the Arab Spring and all that or proof that aliens walk among us? How can we know for sure he's wrong if we don't approach it with an open mind?

While you're there you can provide some details about the Brooklyn Bridge Incident, in which Margaret Thatcher, Javier Perez de Cuellar, and others were part of a motorcade which mysteriously stalled out and experienced "missing time" during a famous UFO abduction.

Unless you're part of the cover-up.

Or you're an alien.

Thank you for keeping that story alive, Scott. Too easy for the world to forget.

Somebody in the newsroom screwed up. That photo doesn't belong to that Istanbul UFO story; if you examine it closely, you'll see it's a picture of voters from a left-wing constituency in Madison queuing up to vote Justice David Prosser out of office.

That's absurd: Everyone knows that OGLE-2005-BLG-390Lb was irradiated during the third M'akindra'a-Cymbalti war and is currently uninhabited.  If you could be bothered to visit the museum you too would know this and you wouldn't be reporting misleading facts.  I mean, what would happen if some poor Ogleonite read this and thought that he and his brood could return to their home planet and claim the place all for themselves?  Would you be able to sleep at night knowing that you were responsible for all of their deaths and/or horrible mutations just because you were afraid of a little traffic?  Think of the pupae!

Before you go Claire, we need to reaffirm your earthling credentials. Trust is all when it comes to UFO investigating. Quick, who won the 1972 World Series?! No cheating!

NERRRRRRRRDS!

Not a TOS violation because I'm projecting - I love space stuff too.  I thought Ajax' comment was pretty funny.

And the M'akindra'a spin machine goes into gear, predictable as clockwork. Yawn, Ajax, the world is on to your larval games of moral equivalence.

River, if I were an alien, surely I couldn't be trusted to hold to the honor code. Think that one through.

Let me be Claire . . . um, I mean clear, let me be clear: I've always said that with the winds of change blowing through Sector 83 x 09 x 12 that it is more important than ever to create a peaceful solution between the Insectoids and Humanoids.  However, I've made it clear to the Cymbalti and those around them that I will never hesitate to use Our military swiftly, decisively, and unilaterally when necessary to defend My people, Our planet, and the galactic core from the bipedal menace.

And, after the last war I'm sure I need not remind you that We won.  So I think on that one, I trump you.

I think Al Gore is prima facie proof that aliens walk among us.

I think I see Bill Clinton in that case. Right in the middle wearing a blue suit...

Wouldn't that be a scoop if I found him in a shopping mall in Bayrampaşa?

Claire, you would have been very proud of me. 2,700 passengers on a cruise ship and I was the only one spotting all the staff who were from Turkey, asking them where they were from, quizzing them about the "Berlinski Doctrine" and asking if they believe Anatolia needs to return to a monarchy.

I'm just getting my land legs back.

You could ask Louis Farrakhan to i.d. him. ;-)
